Reaching past the horizon
Radiant rose-red
Mind body and soul align

Autumn wears festive colours
for our too brief enjoyment
what will quench this thirst, this lust
and will I have the time I must

man from China
Who couldn't think of

Then to smoke cigarettes
And play with his pets
And eat out at an all night diner

Strongest emotions
Darkest addictions
Relentless thoughts
Restless nights
Unforgiven sins
Haunting past
Unscheduled future
Inconceivable thoughts
Unimaginable regrets
That’s my life in brief.
It was just a movie scene
with stars from the silver screen,
a teacher and a lady who
gazed into the Danube River,
and to the friend then with her
would, a revealing line, deliver,
"But Flora dear, it's blue".
