Caricature of a Vampiress

Sarah was always dressed in black
and wearing that midnight pear bracelet
made me shiver spotting teeth marks on her neck;
was she a vampiress ready to attack?

Ornament of Love

Maybe it's me,
But my pages are flipping
Towards the end of my story book
And a new one is about to open
With hands drawn in pair
With bracelet around it both.

Gorgeous antique bracelet
Golden twist on my wrist
Gems of deep red garnets
Glistening, glittering
Garnished with seeded pearls
Glowing soft milky white
Great grandmother’s bequest

The Bracelet

A bracelet, which once promised so much
Breaks, without force or encouragement
And falls to the wooden floor.
Never before have I felt so free.
And so, as links corrode as hearts do,
We break too.

Sapphire Bracelet

SAPPHIRE BRACELET,
Holding my hand like two lovers in the park,
Many Admire,
Few Possess,
Bring me self-esteem and preservation,
Beauty and regality,
So i might sparkle,
In an other wise dull world.

This Is Just To Say

I have entered your room, in search
for something classy and new.
For when I saw your golden
bracelet, I knew exactly what to do.

Forgive me,
for I have taken it.
It was just so pretty and shiny.

Reminisce

Coffee at midnight with a friend.
Watching raindrops fall.
Front porch with glass of soda.
Sharing stack of chocolate cookies.
All this has became memories.
Tears flowing like waterfall.
Leaving your bracelet on the coffin.

Was it fashioned by Navajo?
I do not know, I said. But I love it.
Maybe it is Hopi, grandfather suggested.
Or Zuni.

It doesn’t matter to me, I told him.
I absolutely love it.
I would love it more if I knew, he said.
Why does he have to love it? It is mine.

The Bracelet

Today I wore the bracelet you gave me. Not because I like the way it fits, Or the feel of the metal on my skin, Not because it is you personified, But because I just needed to have you with me, Through out my long day, My long, sad day. Written By: Laura Loo

Inspired By A Good Hearted Citizen

I lost a bracelet
Returned to the place where I bought
There I found it
Someone has tied it hanging
There a caption I read:
"Lost and found bracelet,
Claim with a receipt."
I gave the receipt and claim it again
I'm happy to see that there are still
People who have a heart of a good citizen.

Premium Member Christmas Rocked When I Was Six

Hoping to See Santa covered in soot
eating his cookies, I dashed barefoot
to the living room and discovered—not
him, but he surely left me a lot:
Barbie doll, diary, candy, nuts, fruit,
books, jump rope, bracelet, and toy flute!

Premium Member Weird Or Wonderful Bracelet

Weird bracelet someone said.
I stared at it for a second.
Wait! I think it's a phone number.
How do you know?
I can't be sure, but let's call it.
The toddler was still wailing.
Wanting her mama.
One phone call, and a relieved mama came running toward us.
A parent phone number bracelet.
Brilliant idea for any toddler.

OUR DARLING LITTLE ASHLEY
A GIFT FROM GOD ABOVE
BEAUTIFUL LITTLE SMILE
BROWN EYES FILLED WITH LOVE.

WITH HER SHINY SILVER BRACELET
SHE MADE SURE IT MADE THE SCENE
SHE APPEARS TO BE A SWEETHEART
A NATURAL BEAUTY QUEEN.

WITH MANY YEARS BEFORE YOU
REMEMBER WE LOVE YOU.
THE FUTURE IS LOOKING FORWARD
AND HAS YOU IN IT'S VIEW.

Premium Member Threads of Amity

These threads that bind:
A gift from you to me.
The thread pattern of time,
A measure of what’s behind and ahead.

This thread I wear,
A symbol of what we’ll share.
The threads of amity,
A motif on what friendship means.

The thread on my arm,
A bracelet I’ll never remove.
This thread as a present,
A sign of a bond being with charm.

Premium Member In Memoriam

They handed it to me
The heavy green wool jacket
Circa 1918

Found safe in an attic
In its pockets
“dogtags”
Shoe buckles
And a small bracelet
Etched…NELLIE.

He had come home
He would remember
The men that came home

He would never forget
Those that hadn’t.

As I placed it in the box
I whispered
“THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE”

Forgive Me

Forgive me

My earing is lost
And flowers have taken my bracelet
I have no jewelry to wear
And make you satisfied

The moon was hidden in my heart
And sun in the necklace
Which stars have taken it
And now anemones are flowing
 My hands to color them

I am the most merciful
Forgive me because I have no jewelry
 To wear and satisfy you

A Tribute On My Arm

A tap on the shoulder
 The call of your name
 Your next for a boarder
 A tattoo in the game

I was so bored
 My day was so lame
I had played all the fairs games
So I made myself a bracelet
 With all my favorites names

We saw the singers preform
And now their here for ever
 Right here on my arm
 Here to permanently endeavor
In the heat of the sun
