Not merely rejected
Violently ejected
Booted out of the house and over the hill
Family is relieved she is down there still...

Banters from foes, sauntered to bleed
Ran barefooted, marathon booted

Booted Out

The young say that granddads have ruined their lives
They’re getting themselves in a strop
But can they explain why, when they want jack boots
They go to a fancy dress shop...

Limerick-03

Suited-booted, friend of little gods
Comes to discover a new worlds sods!
Weapon throw in speech
Laugh on naked beach
Selling-buying in his tie of cords!

Inter Unus

The world is a paradox and
No one can tell
Which is heaven or which is hell
And only the ones left weeping
Will ever fortell
Its not till your booted from the door
That you learn
What it was for...

Zoom

Painted kestrel, ruddy hawk
Booted eagle, stoop and stalk

Pigeon here and pigeon gone
Blood and feathers stain the dawn

Prairie falcon, osprey, owl
Diurnal hunts, nightly prowls

Raptor in the endless sky
My soul soars with you as you fly...

Shadow Watchmen

pitter-patter
tiny booted feet
scramble
out of sight

the shadow watchmen
from nooks and crannies
are watching you
tonight

every tear,
every shout,
every smile
so feather-light

tender brains are
shaped by your
love, your joy,
your plight...

Big Stud-On-Campus

He was the big stud-on-campus, was Todd,

Until he was nabbed smokin' somethin' odd!

Coach booted him from the team.

Up in smoke went Mommy's dream,

Of Todd being on a pro-football squad!

Yui Sato

That time again, Cause I'm thinking of you, my thoughts are true, and im getting kind of blue. Oh yes I am thinking of you Yui Sato. The Yardman

A little old lady named Judy,
Hired a yard man 'cause he was a cutie.
Soon weeds they were thriving, plants barely surviving,
'Cause he didn't know pansies from patooties.

The yard man had to say Bye Bye,
'Cause he mixed fertilizer with soap lye.
He burned up the yard, she booted him hard,
And he ran out the gate on the fly....

Error of a Potential Hero

I'm an wickedly confused
angel booted off the throne
of illusive ambitious spacial
derangement and now all alone
all alone/all my own
   story which is a lie
based upon a lie based on
an idea

  stuck in truth
stuck in dark
  stuck on the One

and thought i could be it
but so wrong so wrong
  so burn burn burn
that i do

Yards

While I was at work my yards were busy
a nameless, white flower plucked
from my front garden
lay on the brick shelf by the gate
wrapped in cream silk
its stem inserted
into a (dry) plastic flower tube

A gift set down in forgetfulness
or just discarded

While out the back a soft touch indoor football
orange against the fake grass
lost and over wall booted...

too many questions for a warrior

Was it a clash, a scrimmage or an attack?
The warrior was speechless; his name was Max
Did they carry armor? Did they throw you down?
Did it happen in the woods or in London town?

Were they wearing colors? Did they have banners too?
Were they booted up or did they wear a tennis shoe?
Did they wear crowns or hats? Did they carry shields?
Max ran off screaming toward Wrigley Fields....

Jack Frost

shimmering frost masks
lingering plants and flowers
awaiting death’s grasp
~
silent deer prance close
avoiding the hunter’s bow
scenting through a fog
~
whispers of robins
flying away to the south
leaving colder lands
~
persistent leaves crunch
beneath booted footstep’s stride
capturing heartbeats
~
first glimpse of snowfall
warning hands to use mittens
feet to dance quickly...

Dog Running Spring

How thin are master’s wishes
when he leaves the leather leash behind!
How every rutty road opens into woods
pungent with smells a human couldn’t fit
into the nooks of his narrow nose.

How slow two booted feet climb the hill
when four feathered legs can catch a cloud
on the fly. How soft the cry of master,
so far behind, lamenting that he can’t
catch April; that spring won’t bide....

My Glasses Are Crooked

I can’t hear you- you see, 'cause my glasses are crooked,
And I hear with my eyes so I never get "snookered".

So beware what you do, not so much what you say,
And if you "renege" then you must walk away.

"Cause cheaters are booted from this old card shark's game,
And if I'm outplayed, (God forbid) - I'm to blame.

Oops, I got bumped, (now, my glasses are straight),
I can hear you quite clearly now, you're looking great!...

He

He trails the scent of sweat as he walks in,
his booted footsteps loud upon the floor.
A light kiss on his face gives salty taste.
The feel of stubble on his chin I so adore.

The lingering vanilla from his bath I next inhale
as sweetly from our bed he calls to me.
Salt taste is gone. Now honey is his mouth.
I brush against him. . . we start leisurely.

Wise Up

Into the office you walk
Talking the talk
Thinking you are Mr Perfect
But in reality you are a ship wreck
Suit and booted all the way
With an attitude like an ashtray
Justifying your terrible service
When inside you must be nervous
In my domain, you now stand
Wise up! Or you will crash land
Whilst you are washing ashore
I will stand there and applaud
No more Mr Perfect
Your are a now a reject
Goodbye Mr perfect
Go find some self respect...

Florida Department of Fish and Wildlife

October,

Time when jellyfish
Wash ashore
Cover beaches in
Rotted goo.

Count the numbers
In blue ballpoint
Mark the map
in red.

Right, left
Booted squelch
Sand and guts
Dropped the clipboard.

Running ink,
Sticky slime
Wunderbar wrapper
Clings to the page.

Telephone the department
Need another day
To get the numbers
Info lost in kidney juice.

“Got to do it now”
Before gulls,
Tide comes in, already
harmonica squawks echo....

A Hope Gone Wrong

A hope gone wrong,
An early flight.
I went away,
It wasn't right.

Out the door,
Without a reason.
My time was up,
So was my season.

I was grieved deeply,
I cried and cried.
In vain were my efforts.
And in vain, I tried.

A dart thrown at,
My Christianity.
I wasn't hired,
How could that be?

Could it have been,
I was a female?
That's a temp service for ya
Only they can tell.

They sent me out
On an early flight.
They booted me out
It wasn't right....

Bringing God Back

We’re not allowed to worship God
Or say prayers in our schools
No more Pledge Allegiance
They say it breaks the rules

We can’t speak God’s name aloud
No Bibles should be brought
Do so and your booted out
If ever you get caught

The youth has began a ritual
Before the morning bell
They pray around the flag pole
And it’s really worked quite well

There’s nothing that the schools can do
As they’re outside the doors
Satan lost this battle
But there'll be many more...

Crickets

little booted buddha
   hopping in a monsoon knapsack.

a mural pasture filled with green
   slender stalks lean in rows.

children are playing in between the spaces
  dark skinned and vibrant.

they wear snorkels around their heads
  and breath aqua marine.

bent labor can wait since the trees have all grown
  into archaic reefs.

now the rain descends suicidally transparent
  in the unshethed wind.

only the crickets have paused and grown silent....
