A Hope Gone Wrong

A hope gone wrong,
An early flight.
I went away,
It wasn't right.

Out the door,
Without a reason.
My time was up,
So was my season.

I was grieved deeply,
I cried and cried.
In vain were my efforts.
And in vain, I tried.

A dart thrown at,
My Christianity.
I wasn't hired,
How could that be?

Could it have been,
I was a female?
That's a temp service for ya
Only they can tell.

They sent me out
On an early flight.
They booted me out
It wasn't right.
