Shadow Watchmen
pitter-patter
tiny booted feet
scramble
out of sight
the shadow watchmen
from nooks and crannies
are watching you
tonight
every tear,
every shout,
every smile
so feather-light
tender brains are
shaped by your
love, your joy,
your plight
