shimmering frost masks lingering plants and flowers awaiting death’s grasp ~ silent deer prance close avoiding the hunter’s bow scenting through a fog ~ whispers of robins flying away to the south leaving colder lands ~ persistent leaves crunch beneath booted footstep’s stride capturing heartbeats ~ first glimpse of snowfall warning hands to use mittens feet to dance quickly

I can hear the leaf crunch, and see the silent deer. You have done a fine job with this poem, Gina.
