Country Night
Old
Dirt road
Pick up truck
Blue jean baby
By my side, Harvest moon lights up the night
My tailgate down, our swinging cowboy boots
A Gentle breeze
Sweet kisses
You and
Me....

Untitled #88 / Empty Pentagon
Late summer, late afternoon
in front of the empty Pentagon
the protest is over, nothing’s changed,
I’m walking home. But a young man,
black, blue jean jacket, buttons
passes in front. A smile exchanged.
The truth is known....

Blue Jean Moon
there's a blue jean moon
  out there tonight
you know, the one that's got
    that look in its eye
     like it's got
      a million places to go
       and it doesn't know
         where to start
          or who to call first...

Thoughts of you influence my soul like dry gin
the day which felt long
is gradually pulling its blue jean
yet your absence has made our bed
an unwanted virgin
separating comfort and peace with a wide margin
this is another weary night slowly aging
for me to be pushing for your presence once again
the moon and stars will not stop urging....

My Baby
butterflies flutter in your eyes
breathtaking
the blue leads round like a pool
color navy
soft and sensors
like lovemaking

blue jean, moonbeam, my baby -

and the sound of a million lies in the voice of just one
you're the one
the one who serenades under the sun

like Tennessee moonshine
that sound is so fine

blue jean, moonbeam, my baby....

Idol
A wash of words and
he’d got me
a brushstroke blue-jean greeting
‘hi, howareya’

Quivering in my
Static stilletoes
Uncomposed, all rhythm gone
‘um,fine thanks’

His curling smile-sneer
Lascivious lipped,
affection affected.
The ground shifted

I breathe in his effort scent,
and beer breath,
Pheromone filled
as cheap cologne

the movie in my mind
sees the handshake
as entwined torsos, arms, legs.
Then he moves on....

Walking stick stroking limestone paths
sunshine warming these patina hands-

A fleeting chorus of gold winged finch,
God sashaying over cherry wood violins-

Turtles playing dominos on mossy stones
amidst cattails and croaking saxophones-

Cardinal splashing in blue spruce pines
emerald hoppers popping out a nursery rhyme-

Maple leaves flaunting sweetened faces
blue jean angels sowing quilts for earth's day-
