A Quilt For Mother Earth

Walking stick stroking limestone paths sunshine warming these patina hands- A fleeting chorus of gold winged finch, God sashaying over cherry wood violins- Turtles playing dominos on mossy stones amidst cattails and croaking saxophones- Cardinal splashing in blue spruce pines emerald hoppers popping out a nursery rhyme- Maple leaves flaunting sweetened faces blue jean angels sowing quilts for earth's day- 2/16/19

Anthony, stumbled on this by accident and really like it. If it's for the contest, it hasn't been entered. Have 23 entries now. Just a reminder, Carolyn

Anthony, your metaphors are lovely. This part made me smile: "God sashaying over cherry wood violins" The entire poem was like a song.
