By sitting on a warm beach

Found Cause and Had Blahs
Found Cause and Had Blahs

These days do seem to be some surprises;
And they ended up becoming a big crisis;
Had the blahs;
Then found cause;
Was a significant increase in the prices.

Seasons By: Tom Wright 9-10-2019 Spring is the preferred time, for daydreams to appear. When Summer comes along, these dreams often sear. But Fall is readying itself, to exhibit sudden change. A precursor to Winter, the blahs, and a Christmas gift exchange.

Premium Member A Case of the Blahs
A case of the blahs
   evening blues
dark too early
   nothing to do

8:00 p.m., Monday
   Why go out
Bars are dead
   Drunks passed out

Clubs are closed
   Who would come
Weekend burnout
   Twiddle-dee-dum

Turn in early
   sleep all night
Wake up tomorrow
   rested and right...

Feeling the Weather
drops of rain roll down my chin
what would one expect if they are under the weather
under the weather implies ill feeling or out of sorts

so you’re under the weather and not feeling well
get out of the rain and hope it will clear
when feeling better the rain may have ended
patience can change your feelings and the weather...

The Blue Funk Blahs
It's so hard, sometimes
To remove this cerement
To muster a veritable smile
To schlepp out of the sediment

It will end, I know
When authentic smiles will replace
The disingenuous air
I bedaub to my face

The crazy part is, it seems
That the solution to my abasement
Though well within my clout
Looms just far of my embracement

Motivation! To do the work
For which I have the skill
Seems lacking in my repertoire
As does the supportive shill...

Premium Member Built Three Houses
Built our first house with lots of blahs
Many blacks and whites, no fah—lah-lahs.
My husband had a lot to say,
He rather insisted on his way.

Our second house had a bit more color.
Got my preferences in one way or another.
We had been married a bit longer then.
It was more comfortable to argue with him.

We have built three houses together now.
He has learned there will be a lot less ow,
And he will have a lot more fun each day
If he steps back and lets me have my way....
