My mate had a time travel rocket
He knew he would probably cop it
He went with his gang
To halt the Big Bang
Lord knows if he managed to st.........

one week ago today,
an ounce of energy degrades-
young and righteous,
a story evades-
rebounds like the waves,
a story evades,
surges and sounds like howling fangs,
a hero abstains.
One thing that's puzzled this old duffer
Immediately before the Big Bang was discovered
Was there a big bunch of zip
Or did everything fit
In one tiny atom such as somebody's supper
