Un Naked

Underneath the station bench
like part of he
who should not be named
The shame of those
Merrick berated
felt
when before them
stood a man
Can not show my real face
how can i be naked
when false eyes
will not judge
as fairness cant decide

Valentine's Gratitude

Torn, depraved, ignored and underated,
Beaten, abused, teased and berated.
By chance I stumbled into your loving well,
You smiled, embraced, rescued me from hell,
Thank you for caring, for wanting me near,
I'm in your debt, you exchanged love for fear.

Youth

I knew not where my riper be,
for green was yet my high:
obsessed with all reflection within~
the backside of my eye; such
self-centered youth, though often
berated...while its lose I secretly
sigh

God often losing a young man's ear
near the upper part of his thigh

Me Before I

I reek of trauma and a soiled past,
my lungs are full of mud
from when I was buried alive.
Life was not kind to me,
neither was I;
I berated myself and took down
my own worth.
Now I sit among the earthworms
and the grieving beetles,
remembering how I was
before me.

Damaged

undone
mistreated
hurt and injured
unknown haunted secrets
shadows

so young
just a child
scolded in fear
berated in the dark
maltreat

harmful
wrongdoings
scared and alone
why can’t he be punished?
damage

Just Happiness

If I were a woman instead of a man,
Or a woman who could and still can
Be ambidextrous, bi, or confused,
If two spirits in one could be fused,
What would the critics write about to be amused?

But I am ME!
Solid, energetic, free!
Maybe rattled, rated, berated,
Shaking off showers of advice,
All I want is to feel, to love, to be nice.

A Place To Relive

A Place To Relive

Spaces are berated
People are finders and keepers
Interestingly there is always a place to relive
Whether in your heart or the memories
Just make them count
For you are the maker of what makes you feel free
A place to relive is where we all find solace
And I find it in the times of everyday inspiration

Thanksgiving Giblets

Last Thanksgiving Day, I was berated By my mother-in-law, I am hated "You left giblets inside!" She screamed. I could've died My turkey dinner was doomed; ill-fated I wanted to clobber her with a spoon While she went on mocking me like a loon My husband shut her down Her smirk became a frown When he called her a dried-up wrinkled prune

Broken Dishes -

Kitchen berated glass cups and saucers While in the dishwasher metal forks spoons knifes Soaking and scrubbing is not an option Just throw away the utensils Crushing the ceramic and glass china smashing it to bits And pieces turning it from plates saucers bowls Crushing, smashing them into find sand There ain't no running water no ways Broken Dishes

Love, Most Pure

Love, most pure and undefiled
In the midst of hate
Burns brightest still
Betrayed, maligned, ridiculed
Berated, abandoned and spat upon
No reason but for who you are
God of love, Lord of all!

The universe awed, held its breath
At the moment when your passion peaked
Yet sought no aid; no just recourse
But in humble silence, bore it all!
Michael stood as always to your command
Your crown of gold laid aside
In love's name you stayed your hand!

Thomas and Nikola

Thomas made the lightbulb, and Nikola made a coil,
each of them was brilliant over everything they'd toil.

And though they did amazing things with all their mind and heart,
neither liked the other one and so they worked apart.

They argued over processes and created quite a feud,
they berated and belittled and were both completely rude.

It's too bad that their pride got in the way right from the start;
they could have done much more together than they did apart.

Foregoing

When doors were reopened my heart and soul continuously berated for you, I don’t want to lose you again. Hoping these feelings are mutual we’re both starting over and climbing this ladder of past mistakes seeking to forego and keep striving to rebuild a new chapter of our lives. Relationship are not perfect full of ups and downs feeling like a roller coaster ride disagreements and agreements constantly seeking solace and nurturing to continue to grow repeatedly at full bloom foregoing.

I Am

I am the reason I didn’t get there,
I am the turn that led me astray;
I am the nonexistent boundary lines;

I am the person who avoided mirrors,
I am the woman who berated herself;
I am who was too hard too often;

I am the one who was called upon
I am the one who didn’t understand
I am the one that was needed;

I am aware now of how I fell
I am not going to go down again;
I am just a little bit wiser now;

I am the one who finally realized
       I am my worst enemy.

For Us

A life in service rendered,
sacrifices made and freedom given;
nothing deserves more thanks.

For us, they witness terror,
dying inside and out by the minute.

For us, they take other human lives,
doing what must be done
when others fall.

For us, they endure agony beyond imagining,
only to be berated by those they defend.
I will vouch for them,
even were I to stand alone;
nothing less have they earned.

For us, they give all -
for them, I give gratitude.

To all those who serve -
Thank you.
