Makita Xxv: Question Mark
And these memories
in which my arteries are doused
Though they spaked
in dexterous tones of carnage
seeking foreign sanctuaries
beyond the hallowed elation I propose
Yet half-wittedly she saunters
into baneful gambit...

The Smithy
Love forged in the anvil of a sheltered heart
Where the wind gusts to cast its vivid blow
The baneful storm could not cause its verve to part
For the ember warms to rouse its even flow
Heart that's pounded with the hammer of affection
Shapes to harden with a deep sense of devotion...

Premium Member Moon's Tears-Lost Innocence
Golden moon's tears rain through shear silken mist, when shadows grow long in evening breeze, the flute of the faun through hushed trees fills the night in baneful tryst. Arduous sounds of love's passionate caress leaving lovers' stolen kiss ever lost.

Tyrannical Colonial Kings....
Fallacy....inappropriate fantasy

Fantasy.....anticipated reality

Reality.....imaginative stability

Stability.....exacting security

Security....forfeiture from fallacy......

Vain glory be hi-story......infamy be thy shame
baneful flourish from ruse historic,
enemies created to blame.........

Premium Member The Witches Fayre
gather wares for market day
and cauldrons of the land
baneful stock for the boiling pot
before the evening’s end

tankards spill and taverns heave
upon these Beltane days
see magic folk and sorcerers
on an otherwise malaise

then pack the carts and disappear
before the robin sees
and woe betide the straddlers
caught there on Gallows’ Eve

Whispers
On gossamer lips
Wisped coppery tendrils
Showering sparks
Riding evening breezes
That radiate off my
Eyelashes in papery
Wet slivers
Sticking only when
Your song of ill-boding
Is breathed over me
Its primitive amity
Contused and crusted
On baneful syllables
In sweet consummation
Where at last I see the
Crumbling bouquet
That’s falls
Onto your pages...

The Jilted Spring
from rushing waters steal
invading fishes' spritely steel,
twixt heathery beetle's scar
and fluttery, flapping jar

the sentry hill now set
drags ferment's peace to fret,
while in the brave snail's eye
comes forth a baneful cry

from moorhen's craven beak
warm blood the bird to seek,
erect reminders, failing snow
disappear in morning's glow,
and from the corncrakes ring
shouts forth the jilted spring...

Self Destruction
Having surpassed the ides of March.
Denounced the the baneful glare.
Yet my grief befriends Sanity.
Doctrine of hate preached from
Pulpits and podiums.
Marathon of the arms race.
Humans of another race are dispensable.
Creation of art in flesh and blood.
My heart is compelled to dwell.
In poems that rhymes life.
In a compassion that flow.
Into a stream of peace and tolerance.
Creating in my mind another alien world....

Terror
How cold and quick can Terror be!
For long it slithers by, unfelt,
Until its victim cannot see
The blow of horror being dealt.

It waits in darkness long indeed
Allowing victims false aplomb,
Then blazes out with strength and speed
As bold and baneful as a bomb.

Relentless courage must have he
Who hunts this serpent in the night,
Until at last his hand is free
Its head to sever with a scythe.
