Bones

In a badger trap
Found with peanut butter
Contented to be nursed back to health
And sleep on the chair
Next to the dog

The Badger

The badger was digging all out,
In search of some grubs, no doubt.
With dirt flying high,
He let out a sigh,
And left quite a mess all about!

Vignette-A Breeze In the Trees

Deep down in the Wild Wood
An empyty mansion stood-
Stoats & weasels squatted there for nowt,
Ratty,Mole & Badger with a loud shout
Helped careless Toad to kick them out.

Hibernating Badger

A hibernating badger awoke

And said, "If this is Spring it's a joke,

      "This is no fun,

      "I can't see the sun."

And went back to sleep as he spoke.

Upset and Trump Won Bet

Upset and Trump Won Bet

Again, as usual, Trump will win the bet;
Has caused everyone  to become upset;
Will swager;
Also badger;
Get his own way only himself does let.

friends gift each other

Billy Badger is gifted hot chocolate drink
From his mole pal Mr. McLink Kabrink.
He reciprocated with a back massage with a bit of a groove
What a marvelous gift said Kabrink, what a great move!

Double Entente

The ape was a mimic
So badger pestered him

A dog tricked the fox
And followed him to crow

This boast to a rat
Was betrayed ...by and by

Tampering with its meaning..
was a monkey...on the sly.

Scrutinizing

This jungle of words.
Fear, like a badger
comes, and sits at my door.

      *
The insects, I
am tired of them. All the
time I sit under a bo tree.

      *
This city was
like an ocean, full
of predator sharks.

Honey Guide Bird and His Partner Honey Badger

Honeyguide bird has a special pal
He teams up with a honey badger gal
Honeyguide finds bee’s hive and makes a call
Alerting honey badger, his partner, a friendly doll
Badger eats the sap, honeyguide bird eats the wax
This is just one of a bunch of interesting facts

Trick Or Treat Night

fun night for a glorious meet. Is it a secret? No. It's trick-or-treat!
squirrel and rabbit ran the first heat.
badger and mouse were the first in the seat.
this is a Halloween night that cannot be beat!
said a rabbit who came to the door lugging a sweet
dressed as a ghost in a tidy white sheet

Not Feeling Tracey's Badger

Went to the Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy today. Really inspiring. However...(sorry, Tracey, you win some, you lose some)

I liked Tracey Emin's bed

Was partial to the tent thing, too

But what's with the badger?

Is it dead?

And isn't that owl

Too s**t for the loo?

The Dachshund

My name is Franz Ferdinand
I’m a Dachshund not a band!
I come in coats 1,2 and 3
2 sizes - standard and mini
My coats are smooth or wire or long
Short on legs, my back’s not strong
but take me to a badger hill,
I’ll dig and dig and won’t stop till
I do the job that must be done
And get those badgers on the run.

Leafless

A sentinel gathers a parliament
of stag, fox hare and a badger.
Birds perched on its broken limbs, quiver.
Relentless snowfall drapes its roots
like shroud.
It once held spring in its arms,
kept secrets in summer.
It laments"-I am leafless".
But they aren't here for refuge.
They are here because
some love outlasts seasons.

She's Dyeing

Sue peers in the mirror with fright Her parting’s a terrible sight On top of her head A badger - it’s dead Sue must use some hair dye tonight! She’d applied hair dye carefully Grey hairs Sue can no longer see All the grey is now brown She no longer feels down And styles her hair prettily 04/28/20

Fearfully I Am Dizzy As I Stand Up To the Honey Badger

FEARFULLY I AM DIZZY As I stand up to the honey badger--

Sprinkling fluorescent muted dots of racing shadows,
Fatefully anxieties hypocrisies dilemmas,
As vertigo swirls away constants fathoms.
"I stand up to the honey badger"

“I fear not the bee stings but run from the honey the badger brings”

Morning Star

Pleasantries.

A memory
unveils
of a star watch
in the badger state.

Much awry
in our
peaceless world.

Venus,
Morning Star,
Sun Greeter,
Early Morning Friend.

She made us feel alright,
each
arrival of light.

First Encounter With a Squirrel

Unsuspecting and unafraid
Bless your naivety!
Dashing from out your home in the woods
Just to sit by me.

You cannot know what I am;
The race I represent.
Has not badger told you, warned you?
Rock-ledged bobcat, down-bent!

Or are there some among us
I, one such fortunate
Spilling or not, nibblings like secrets
Innate wildness placate?

The Loud Scary Digger Machine

Discussing the loud scary digger machine
Because it is terrifying their children
Badger takes the helm; he stirs them up
Rabbits and hedgehogs are slow to get hot
Squirrel is hopping around like a maniac, being squirrel.
Blue jay keeps his opinions silent, listening to wren and finch.
Poppies, wild rose and daisy keep their opinions for later.

Education of Dreams

Dreamscapes inundate; I am trapped in-between them; No escape is visible. Fox comes on the edge; Four-legged animal guide, Offers me spirits advice; Yes, I will follow; Dreamscape slows; we are in woods; Among the wilds, I will learn. Badger and wolf come; “Join us”; spirits sent by God; Dream guides personal tutors.

Woodland Toast

I want to toast the bear, badger says.
For being so playful with my cousin Inez.
I want to toast the fox, replies the bear.
Who always tells a tale with infinite care.

I want to toast the squirrel replies the dwarf elf.
Who is always playful and keeps nuts on this shelf.
I want to toast the elf, says the hedgehog, Barry.
Bemused by this idiocy is the wise female faerie.

Stork Brings Badger Baby

Badger Daddy Dork got the bill from the stork.
His temper hit the top of his head with a pow.
Badger Mommy unwrapped the baby and said wow!
Pay the stork whatever he wants, she said to Dork.

You are so easy! Dork said to his smitten wife.
It is a girl this time, she said, what a great life.
The baby looked at Dork and said “hi daddy!”
He said “She is as cute as any badger could be!

Kissing Badger Santas Axe

badger Santa was the head of the Winter Mafia
godfather of the forest in non-Santa town
animals came to kiss the ring
asked for favors
he was the boss
they brought offerings
hoping it would be enough
badger Santa ran for president
he had the worst character traits
but the animals were afraid to not vote for him
afraid of repercussions
history perpetually repeats itself, said the historians

Visiting the Badger Hole

Oh, the leaves are liquid yellow
As we ride on through Custer Park,
In search of that old Badger Hole:
Home of the poet Badger Clark.

Yes, we come to step back in time—
It’s a historic rule of thumb—
Where the city does not crowd you,
And man can be scattered some.

The old cabin now sits empty—
A last poetic monument—
Proving that words can still live on
Where men have lived and come and went.
