This Is About You
Fingers in my hair, you’ll
Pull and turn me feral.
I’m young and stupid,
Still apologizing for the things you did
to me. To my body.
You tore open and called me ‘hottie’...

Premium Member Snake In the Mirror
Being politically correct
trying hard not to offend
not following the heart and head
puts a bend in the spirit.
That's why its shaped like
a shadowy serpent
licking the air
apologizing
to the
cold truth
in the
mirror....

Apologizing Without Apoligizing
If I was being an ass
And no reason would make up for it,

If I was acting like a douche bag
And tempers had been tested

If I was a buzzkill
And it becomes contagious

If I became a monster
And turned more miserable

Just know
That I still love you

New Year's Resolution
I am done apologizing
For my own existence.
I am done making up
For everyone else’s apathy.
I am done pretending.
I am done playing catch-up.
I am done acting
Like everything is fine
When my world is on fire
And I am done
Blowing kisses
To anyone with a heartbeat....

Premium Member Apologizing Is Not Easy
Please forgive me. I am sorry. I will never do it again.
When I say these words I mean them.
Because it is not easy to apologize, so when I do it
I remember to not do it again.
The anguish of the apology is enough.
I do not think I have ever done it again after the apology....

Alone
I was on the borderline of begging.

But that’s embarrassing isn’t it?

When I stopped asking for help-

There was a bit of apologizing.

So that we could all move on.

One day, I will be able to rise again.

But not until I face the crisis that I am destined to face alone....

One Last Time
Can I hold you in my arms,
or do you think it is too late,
too many mistakes?
Tired of hearing " I'm sorry",
Tired of hearing " will you forgive me"
Said those words too much,
Thought apologizing was enough.
Can I hold you in my arms again,
make things right, Can I hold you
one last time....

Dear Josh
You had you turn and you blew it,
I blame myself for to long,
I'm threw with it,
When I finally left you you understood me,
And now you apologizing after you thought it,
I cried and hope to solve this,
But you waited to long to see it,
I'm saying good-bye with no warning,
Out the door I went while you was snoring....

DENYING-CRYING I AM SO SORRY--

crying--The sun is gonna shine after the rain
denying--The healing comes after the pains
crying--Here I feel as though something
denying--Got me apologizing over and over again
crying--I'm so sorry
crying--Yes deep in my heart I am sorry

Sorry
I know it’s hard to say
But certainly you know
Sometimes you are to blame
Admitting fault will help you grow

You wallow in self sorrow
Clearly, you’ve been wronged
Deep despair is all you know
You’ve known it all along

Your pity pot is failing
After years of much abuse
The nuisance of your wailing
Has expanded your caboose

Premium Member Things You Do Not See Every Day
A bully apologizing to his victim
An alligator thank goodness!
A woman following through on a threat
A man dancing into church wearing a tutu

Things you don’t see every week
A snake wearing a top hat
A mushroom house running down the street
A teacher who lets the children decide on the curriculum
A woman dancing into church wearing a tutu...

Without You
A different timeline for you…

We are willing to pay for another week.

Or another month.

But you trust us so much…

If you could be pale you would be.

If we could skip this day, we would.

Except that-

Our tenderness is our way of apologizing.

A different timeline for you.

We are willing to pray for another day…

But instead-

We pay for a lifetime without....

Bad Behavior
(This is a fictional poem)

A man insulted you yesterday and you punched him in the face.
Today he apologized and you hit him again and that was a disgrace.
You can't hit a man who is apologizing to you.
Sometimes I'm ashamed of the things you do.
I called the guy and convinced him not to have you arrested for assault.
I saved you from going to jail so this bad behavior of yours had better come to a
halt....

Premium Member Do Not Let It Happen Again
I put them on teams.
They are snarling like tigers.
I listen to it, but do not comment.
I give the first question.

Two teams miss it and want me to repeat.
I am the game show host.
I have already told them to listen
Because I will not repeat.

The teacher repeats the question.
I give her the teacher look.
She begins apologizing.

I tell her it is okay
but “don’t let it happen again”.
This is about as harsh as I get....

Love Under Glass
Love Under Glass

I'm tired of believing
that love is all it takes
as I keep apologizing
and make the same mistakes
a heart has many pieces
for easy are its breaks
do not hold to tightly
be in absence does it ache
teardrops fall in puddles
slowly turning into lakes
which somehow quench the fire
that once burned down Heaven's gates

shadow of darkness
endowed with Hells passion
releasing the slaves

Tell Them Please
She said sorry too often.
She apologized for apologizing
Too much.
She said sorry like it was a
Greeting.
She apologized for everything that goes wrong.
Because she has labeled herself as a
Disaster.
She was sorry for not being good enough.
Because no one ever told her
She was good enough.
No one ever told her that she was
Something more
Then the mess inside her head.
So she learned to apologize
For every single
Breath
She
Took....

One Shot
Both truth and lies.
Resides in darkest white.
Stays in solitude.
In need of none.

Until someone came in.
Changed the very core.
Shaded with dazzling colors.
The someone became everything.

Lived happiness with sorrow.
Shed tears with joy and pain.
Lived with it.
Settled with it.

Broke a promise.
Reflected with guilt.
Took all the blame.
In agony of apologizing

Now in the edge.
Felt empty inside.
Scared of losing someone.
Still hoping....

Dying To Win All the Time
Eyeing every trophy is a sin,
Always craving it a prickly pin;
A critic right to raise a din:
“A propensity fit for our Dust Bin!”

For those who often seek to win
Force our hands to support either chin
And our skin pricks with a pin …

An obsession I won’t excuse my kin,
As doing so quite a kin
To eating from a rusted tin
Or relishing a non-nourishing fin.

Order I shall such a kin
To pay with an apologizing gin;
Dying to win all the time, sin....

Loosing Such a Close Friend
Admitting guilt, feeling contrite,
Apologizing, Even confession,
Weren't enough...enough to cheer;
A close,trusted loyal mate..
The nearest;A companion!
Even if she's afar,
I'm always able to trust her,
I'm pretty sure she wont betray,
she's never out of my mind..
I never knew what was her desire...
But just because she refused to confess,
to admit that she left me is the near past;
she choose her own way
And lost her loyal brother...
But still...thank you for everything...

Shadows of Love
When apologizing isn't enough to make everything right and the hurt
is still left inside your heart. knowing there's nothing left to say except
 goodbye.

hoping your final pleas for love will finally be accepted. Waiting for her to either say I forgive you or Just walk away. Knowing that you caused the tears falling down her face because of the love you had is gone.

wanting so badly to take and just hold her in your arms one more time. Showing her how sorry you are now....

Premium Member Do Not Generalize All Black Cats
Are you a Halloween cat? I queried the preening feline.
Don’t generalize all black cats she said with a sniff and a whine.
I was shocked because surely she knew about the teeny witches.
Who were holding up her ears on broomsticks with snitches.

But I thought, I began to say, apologizing for stereotyping.
She began to laugh then, saying “I was only snipping.”
I was not laughing though, for I did not know her at all.
Of course, I will certainly avoid her when I see her next fall....
