New Year's Resolution
I am done apologizing
For my own existence.
I am done making up
For everyone else’s apathy.
I am done pretending.
I am done playing catch-up.
I am done acting
Like everything is fine
When my world is on fire
And I am done
Blowing kisses
To anyone with a heartbeat.
