There was a tolerant man
Tolerance was his plan-
He, to decide which is & is not,
Judging tolerance was his lot-
Methinks..he often loses the plot

Don got the boot
    for wearing a suit

  Recruiters said, 'Anything goes'
    so Don pierced his nose

  Now he's a hot commodity
    instead of an oddity

Woes No One Knows

The economic woes that no body knows
Pork scratching eaten from scrapings between toes
Man must eat
What ever the meat
No money anything goes

Anything Goes: Life In a Loop

What has life in store?
Milk on bed and milk when dead.
Why sulk all along?

P.S.This poem is based on the Hindu customs of burial. Attending a funeral recently taught me this very essence of Life.

He
Witness
My sadness
Tears rolling down
He wiped the tears away and held me close.
He never asked what brought them on, he just
let me be me
and loved me
with my
tears..

   the press of the crowd
     reset trouser creases

     he almost kissed a baby!

   compared to a county fair

Your Candle

Life is not forever like a candle it burns
Taking you through all the twists the turns
Be wary as your flame only lasts so long
It's your light in the dark if anything goes wrong
What I'm trying to say is look after your flame
As no two candles ever burn the same.

The Beast of Fectorath

The beastly beast of Fectorath
The foulest thing you’ve met
It’s ugly as a bulls back end
And have you smelled it yet

The stench is just, quite awful
It smells like something’s dead
And little do you realise
It’s hiding in your bed!

Premium Member Bizarre

Suited up in dachshund —
In New York and San Francisco, anything goes!
Tourists stunned.

Lifts off the bench,
man walks with fur suit and bimbos
and stench.

Full park —
manic side throws
barks.

Suited up in dachshund,
man walks with fur suit and bimbos.
Barks!

He’d take dates back to his place for late-night pancakes smeared with golden butter, doused in luscious boysenberry sauce. Halfway through this small repast, he’d lean forward, letting moist berry lips move softly over his lovely lady’s mouth. For PD's Kissing Game Poetry Contest and now for Nathan's Anything Goes

Premium Member The American Dream

The beauty of the dream
Even fools are allowed in
Misinformed and crawling on narrow stony roads
Yet in this land anything goes
We all have the right to our opinions and views
Apparently even old fools
One day soon
Guns will be taken
So that freedoms truly rule
As the clowns dance
One day
Poets shall rule

Remember this! Obama was no fool!

Now for Mr. Trump all the more
At his State of the Union Speech
The Dems aimed to even the score

his "Best is Yet to Come" close
Ms. Pelosi ripped up all his notes
   then struck a defiant pose...

Premium Member A Fight for Survival

    Whither rhyme and meter
counting the number of feet or
    sustained metaphors, sharp similes
framework for what we called poetry

    Alas, today, almost anything goes
slams and raves some tend to ‘fave’
while others dig obscenities and graves

    I hear tell there’s ‘a poetry revival’
~ though I sense a fight for survival

Going Out With a Bang

This is the dawning of the age
Of new becoming
Walls of centuries falling down
Creating eventful sprouts
Information untied like a great gift
Gathering all builders of words
Come one come all
None too big or too small
Tug of war over come
Time for calm waters stand
Special harbors carved
Anything goes
Only if it's good
Put downs to rest
Bask in the season of best
