Than the thing itself:
'Tis the fear, not the flying--
'Tis not the death, but the dying.

everyone is stocking up
weather sequestered
anticipation
eight to ten inches of snow
unmoving traffic

so fragile
blows butterfly kisses
reaching for your hand

gray sky sheds its tears
snowflakes drift lazily down
boy soaps up runners

Daffodils nod approval
Kiss of promise for today
Feeling excited for my
Rare weekend plans
Including seeing an old friend and
Doing something new yields

Yearning
