I remember we were so excited at the first snowflake, and we would get our sleds ready.

i don't remember soaping up the runners, but i figured it out and love the reference, milton! well done...

Those first flakes are exciting to see, it brings out the child in us. Sadly as you get older you tread with caution, the last thing you want is broken limbs. Tom

He's ready for some winter fun. I didn't have the opportunity to do such things when I was a child... no snow in the deep south. Loved reading your insight on it, though.

Oh, kids up north eagerly await that first snowflake in anticipation of going sledding. We used to grease up our runners with soap. I wasn't sure many would get the reference.
