My little mate
the blackbird
would sense I am no more
and mourn me with a whistle
and a goodbye song
maybe his family
would join the singalong.
Grafted Scion
Youthful Mary
Accepting
Giving all
The chance
To become
Sisters, brothers
Joint heirs
Through the
Adoption
Into
Everlasting life
Amen

Time is to Wrongful Adoption as Wrongful Adoption is to the law of Life:
"One can only mold a child's future, but trying to mold a child's past is an act against nature!"

comes with baring gifts...

I am the hard surface that you see.
Pretty and useful.
Multicultural yet just.
Break the fragile glass into pieces and find shards of pain and fragments of sadness,
broken and messy.
I am glass.

Adoption
Written: by Tom Wright

The ultimate in life,
Is its adoption,
It requires of us,
Something, each day.
Laying ashelf
Is not a given option
It must be lived,
There’s no other way.
I had to leave him
at the adoption drop-off
of the place I’d entrusted
with his safe-keeping. . .
his mournful howl followed me
as I exited the door

Helpless.
Time had run out.
Unable to conceive
adoption brought relief, and love
to share.

Born out of wedlock
she gave up her baby girl
for quick adoption.
Twice married since, old and frail,
she laments her childless life.

Chosen POTD-1st Oct 2016
we have seen tremulous hearts
seeking, securing adoption
of a child abandoned
or underprivileged
then time passes
initial fervour is lost
what was boon is bane
the object secured discarded
we are not judging
merely observing
the fickle heart
Soul poured out wild and bitter malice
Wants nobody to visit a hospitable palace
Who will appreciate the sincere heart?
Find yourself in solitude is a great art
Without companions for the battle goes warrior
And in case of death, he'll not be sorrier.

They made a connection
Visiting him daily for a week
Before taking him home
Never again either to be lonely

Pause.
Treading.
Without cause.
Hot breeze, brushed slate.
Apathetic state.
Rooster, without mo/ourning.
Feels of perpetual, missed date.
Query to contend or content.
A penny earned or a blessing sent.
Strive for change or adoption of what's meant.
-Angel Fatale-
I had a dog. It did not behave.
I took it back to the shelter.
I got a cat.
It hissed at me.
I kicked it out.
Dumped it in the country.
Not caring it was pregnant.
We tried to have a child for four years.
Took in a foster child, but it ran away.
Twice.
We are trying to adopt now.
WHY ARE YOU POPULAR?
IN PARTICULAR
WHY ARE YOU AN EMPLOYEE?
IN OUR MODUS OPERANDI

FOR YOU TO BE BLAMED

AGED, LEAVE THE NATALITY INTO TO

Wednesday's Child
seeds sown in the womb of a barren field
despite repeated failure
hope is the last to die
following heartache, realization
blessed with an alternative:
the gift of adoption

Abortion becomes critical demand everywhere
Because civilization dares death, stares death-making where
Civilization as we know it, doesn't exist
Dare we give children for adoption, for no-one suggests
Especially to folks in our nation: "How is your foetus growing?"
Instead, how is the baby in your womb; Is it kicking? Is it!
A wasteful effort
In the waste;
A retired General
Is smiling to his public;
A lover gets rid of
His expensive flowers;
The moon is looking
For adoption
By the old sun;
Pilgrims
Are curious;
I am tiding up
My feet
With a robust trusted cord;
My legs are above my head now
I am attempting my last yoga suicide.

Children up for adoption
caught my eye.
I saw them on TV.
I easily cry!
Abandoned babies,
tots and teens,
smiling bravely,
waving "Hi!"
But I saw sad crosses
in their eyes.
Children begging to be chosen.
Look! Look!
into their eyes.

My Little Sister
There is a girl I really like.
I haven't seen her in a long time.
She is my little snowflake.
I really wish she was still mine.
With hair like glitter
And a smile like a dream,
My mind remembers
All that I've ever seen.
Oh! Little sister.
My heart! My love!
I pray you'll come back
My sweet little dove.
My Saddest Farewell
I will never forget the day I bid
farewell to the one soul who ever
loved me unconditionally -
the dear dog I was forced to
give up for adoption,
and as I left him -
the heart-wrenching
sound of his
forlorn
howl.

I’m not a whole person, I don’t think I ever was
I’m a master at losing;
Cause I’ve never won
Robbed of a mother, and a father imprisoned
A grandfather angry, at any chance given -
With few who loved me, or who showed it I guess
There was only one woman, who strayed from the rest
Offering me love, a grandmothers touch
My personal savior;
The end of a bet
Today is so very special
the day you were chosen
the cutest smile
and most vibrant halo
you were brighest of the cherubs
and once again we celebrate
the day your path was laid
that lead you to my door step
and conquered my heart
So I say have a very special
Adoption Day
be cheerful and proud
for this day means as much to me as it does to you.
