Why do people disregard
The people all around them?
Doing things to spoil the day
For strangers who surround them?

Riding motor bikes in parks
Where doing so’s not lawful?
Blasting music I don’t like
At volumes simply awful?

Littering when garbage pails
Are plentiful and waiting?
Sitting too close on a bench
(Not rule accommodating)?

I wonder if their rudeness
Comes from some infernal plan
Or simply that they do these things
Because they know they can....

upon a carpet of grass,
Nature's dewy fingers
massage and tickle my toes.

A brisk, tactile breeze, tussles 
my unruly mop of hair,
sending a shiver running
along the length of my spine.

Soaking up rays, I bathe in
warm sunlight, baring my skin
to its therapeutic touch,
bringing a blush to my cheeks.

She walked through the door.
It started to pour.
She hands me a notebook thank you.
Therapists hate me.
But they collect a fee.
In the waiting room.

I was writing, I wasn’t moving my lips at all.
She’s smiling, I’m sure of it.
She smiles me through the door.
My mom picks me up on Mondays.
