Queen of the Hill
Hundred legs climbing
To reach the queen of the hill
Who keeps kicking, but
I'll climb a hundred times more,
That hill is calling me home...

Ah, indeed this is the neck I recognize.
I’ve kissed it in my dreams a hundred times.

At Ellis Island there were tons of lines
If you stood too long you were given fines
Your name easy if
It was Rose or Big Biff
Mine was misspelled about a hundred times...

Side To Side
Side to side
beaten a hundred times
at the hands of pride
down the line smashed
how long will it last
on the floor crashed

Side to side
aimlessly tossed before I fly
the innocent left to cry
deflated I hide
in shame but to you
it was just a game...

Truth Unwraps
My life has been folded over
  at least a hundred times

With twilight comes exposure
  and a reckoning sublime

Each crease a thing I’d never done
each fold a place I’d hide

Now one by one the truth unwraps
 —my secrets open wide

The Eagles Eye
Like a telescope in focus,
the words get sharp and clear

And magnify within the thought,
  a feeling oh so dear

Each letter worth a hundred times,
  what yesterday did know

New verse now burning laser bright,
 —eternal in its glow

(Villanova Pennsylvania: February, 2018)...

Buried Treasure
I'm the treasure that will never
be unburied, I'm just wasting
away waiting for you to dig me
up, You've probably passed me
by a hundred times not knowing
I might have everything to offer
I guess my shine has faded in the
past 25 years, I'm just that treasure
lost to never be found...

A poem's not finished
'til you've reviewed it a hundred times
Then as you read it the hundredth and first
you're surprised to find it's gotten worse

As we grow, so do our poems
Yet sometimes we look for growth
and all we can do is swear an oath
'Growth and Oaths' ~ poems need both...

Optatus
Tell me you don’t want this;
These hands that burn everything they touch
These eyes that have seen too much yet somehow, still not enough
Tell me we weren’t made for this
I was born screaming
You, a forest fire
Tell me I wouldn’t die for you
I would sacrifice myself
A hundred times over, a hundred times again
Tell me –
But oh, you can’t...

Cracked
They said he'd cracked,
like a jar in the wind,
ajar to within.

Grumbling gears in an attic of a mind,
cranked with the resiliency of an old steam engine,
chugging along.

Muddy cigar for the failures,
basement couch for the come-backs,
after being knocked off a hundred times,
the podium has never had this many scratches,
climbs back up every time,
but gallows are never very accommodating....

The Box
A red rose tied
across the top
of the tiny box
that lay in your hand

My heart skipped a beat
a hundred times twice
as you slowly walked
the path toward me

A smile appeared
across your face
as you lifted the lid
of the tiny box

Inside it lay
golden earrings

Those earrings, that day
wrote the song
the love bird sings.

Shipwrecked
Shipwreck

As the ship exploded and sunk, her crew
died a hundred times.
Through portholes they saw the green sea,
getting darker; they couldn´t hear their own
screams as the noise of crushed iron´s was
louder, like hundred express trains hurdling
toward obliviousness
And then the sea blew open doors
filled every cabin with incomprehension
…and then, yes then, they died again....

Well, Well, Well
What do we have here?
Two firm feet, with arms to bear.
Fifty horses to get up there.
A hundred times, ten thousand faces.
Say you're welcome, please.

The strong will seize,
If the flow will keep.
Put forty-five, frown
On a page,
Like sheep.

Can I buy you, uh...
Have you been many places?
Do you liken us to trees?

Say hello and give a tear,
Spend time up there,
Then look down....

Premium Member A Ripple In Time
An angel kissed a ripple
Onto a glassy sea
And in that very instant
A baby came to be

A hundred times she kissed it
A hundred thousand more
Each time the troubled surface
More troubled than before

The ripples started crossing
And people crossing too
In time made each their ripple
Like as that ocean blue

So here is my petition
Oh Jesus, hear my plea!
That all my parting wavelets
Be marked in time for Thee...

Premium Member Listening To My Intuition
An inferno in my gut told me something was wrong
I fled the scene immediately, knowing something was off
Something horrible was about to happen
I missed it, and later felt grateful, relieved, and thrilled to have missed it
Because it was something that would have caused me unthinkable pain
Hearing about it was not the same as being there.
I thanked my intuition a hundred times over.
She never lets me down....

Premium Member Guess Who I Am
I preen and I primp.
I am all that and more really.
Other creatures avoid me.
I understand why.

They are intimidated by my beauty.
I am a hundred times prettier than my wife.
She has to be plain, so she can hide our eggs
In the tall brown grass.

But I can strut and do.
My crown waving in the wind.
People drive by and almost fall out of their cars
Watching me fan myself; for I am a gorgeous hunk of male....

Another Day In December
I sit here as the sun sets
On my porch nostalgic
Thinking of the not so old days
But my darling is no more
No one to hold my now wrinkled hand
Share a laugh from a joke told a hundred times
I sit here not so young anymore
Old curves and not so full cheeks
Sad, old and lonely
Who knew?
that my happily ever after would be so blue
Nothing but a dream
Still, wishing for my Knight
It does afterall end as it started...

Their Names
I am a sad person
No more than that
Also, no less ..
The doctor laughed when I asked him to work "C T scan" to my memory,
Then he embarrassed as he read their names on it
I tried dozens of drugs,
I said "I love you" a hundred times a day,
poet of poems had fell !
My fingers surrounded by depression,
their names are still occupy my memory
I still just a sad person
More than that,
And also ..
 less than that .....

Is the Search Over
For twelve times
	twelve months
I have searched
	for the love
I first found with you.

After a hundred times
	a hundred thousand footsteps
I have again arrived
	at your doorstep
awaiting your love.

For two times
	two hundred million heartbeats
my lonely soul
	has searched for love,
at least to give it
	if not to receive it.

Now only you can answer
the hardest question I could ask.

Is my search over?

Dream Writer
Why is it
That the words fall into place
The second my head hits the pillow?
The days events,
Play through my head like a song.
As if I am lulling myself to sleep.
The slightest little movement,
Sends them scurrying like mice.
Sometimes when I dream, I write.
And in my dreams
The words flow so smoothly.
I recite them over and over.
I even write them down,
Reading them a hundred times.
But when the morning comes,
They fade with the darkness....

It's Hard To Believe
It's hard to believe
   How much you love me
I don't feel like the man
That you tell me you see

It's hard to believe
All the things that you do
To show me you love me
And you will always be true

It's hard to believe
All the things that you say
Like how much you love me
   A hundred times everyday

It's really hard to believe
   How truly lucky I am
To have such a good woman
   That believes in her man....

I Am Afraid
I am afraid
If I failed like a hundred times,
and somehow I sum up myself
Again and Again.
what if one day I couldn't.
I couldn't start over.
I am afraid.
If I lose hope one day
Is everybody gonna judge me that day.
I am afraid.
What if one day I will not be able,
to realize that I am fine.
what if one day I will not be able to convince myself.
Maybe one day I'll need someone to tell me,
that everything is fine, even did I fail.
I am afraid....
