Shopping Center Poems

A leisurely coffee, conversation
that barely makes it across
the table before slipping back
into silence, shapes passing by
shadowed in the blurr
of their growing distance.

They gather at ten, old men,
landlocked yet in their mind’s aegean,
letting out their long nets
beneath a vast shopping center ceiling
arching over them like an endless sky,
horizons drawing them further out
to where, one day, they won’t return.

They even have “Black Friday” in Russia!
Don't have Russia chacters
Who would have believed it!
The whole wide world has gone nutso, nutso, nutso!
Thought for sure Putin would have abolished it by now
Oh well, Happy Shopping!

This Landscape

the old man fluffed the pillow
smoothed the blankets
and lay down to sleep
hoping never to wake up
the price of gasoline is something impossible
said the nightingale to the goldfinch
have you seen how unemployment is
asked the pig to the frog
I hate noticing how it grows
the murder rate
shouted the giraffe to the beaver
eleven o'clock at night and all is well
warned the cabin boy
sore eyes from longing for love
have you noticed
that the mall is beautiful
when does christmas come?
certain that happiness lives inside a showcase
in the morning the old man woke up angry
and in the window of the tiny apartment
there were only gray clouds of rain as a landscape

Premium MemberGone Schizo

I have schizoaffective disorder
and everywhere I go I'm frightened.
Even a leisurely walk
all my senses are so heightened!

The other day I passed
a wrapper of Oreo cookies...
I felt this was planted
with the theme of Black and White!

Are my thoughts just my imagination
or is the Illuminati out to get me?
I think the grass and trees are poisoned
by gangstalkers that I cannot see.

So I take this injectable medicine
that is supposed to calm my nerves,
but I still think they are in the shopping center
giving me what I don't deserve!

MKUltra and MKOften
are the formal names of my demise
are they real and keenly active
or are my visions a false surprise?

Goodbye

and wipe your civilized feet on the lawn
scorched by the fire of the hours
let the happy afternoons at the shopping center
rest on the old shelf balanced on the bricks
carefully get out of the loaded car
with the bags of old clothes
that you would donate after the flood
if you had the heart you never had
send a hug to picturesque uncle
who fought with the whole family
because of politics
blow away the ash of good and bad dreams
the sparks of sad and happy thoughts
and the summary of failed loves
push aside the fridays of the earth
the frustrated encounters
the wishes piled up in the attic of the mind
and the disappointments
cataloged and buried for years
because today you can suddenly say goodbye
to a life of thank you, excuse me and please
to enter less heavy and not so triumphant
in the reality of a universe that dematerializes
and in which your dust means absolutely nothing

** Shopping Center Blackbird **

He, rising in defense of the others,
Presenting himself, to all with ears
To hear and before all eyes,
The black, flapping silhouette atop
The silver, double-bulbed street lamp;
This loudest shrieking,
Not to be ignored
Blackbird,
Appearing actually,
Half the size of his declaring all
This territory his own —
That expanse of dark blue
Paved spaces, surrounded
At a slight distance from an oval line of trees
— Yet he returns from his diverting
Watch of the over-all
To nest to rest hidden in security
And warmth, all tucked away
Behind the green “Y” of
The “Subway” store’s shopping
    center sign.

Citysting

I've been walking through these streets avoiding seeing
how many of these houses are faded
their blues turning to grayish white
the elderly faces sunk in the dry gardens
gates that squeal
thin puppies
the death of the city is flagrant
most buildings and stores
to rent and to sell
I stop at ugly corners
seeinghearing i'm hungry i have cancer
five dish towels five bucks
so I accelerate over the potholes of the avenue
scaring away drunks and homeless people
how good is the shopping center
there yes it seems true to live

Showplace of Sopot, fairytale, right Klaus?

Just Love

Just love
Remember the love

A life with you
Long time,
since long time
with love

Partnership, friendship
O yes with the love
morning to noon,
afternoon to evening,
day to night,
whole week, fortnight, month, year
we pass the time together

friendship love
binds us on one bud,
on moth or butterfly's flying,
on shopping center,
in enjoying festival show,
in watching new movie,
in gossiping with coffee
in bathing together
many more............

Long time,
since long time
love for you
friendship love
As no controller of your heart
As no dictatorship on your life
As no tyrant on your personality

Just love
for you I’m just love

THE ELEGANT ECHO

On the busy walkway of the city shopping center
In the air of elegance ruffling her well-set auburn hair
She walks in style on her stockinged slender legs
With delicately encased feet reclined on the golden stilettos
The beat of high heels echoes in the throb of many hearts.

The Beer Trip

The Beer trip
I went to a party the other night
I had a great time and was feeling no pain.
When joe walked up to me and said it was my turn to get the beer.
I took his keys and went to the truck.
I headed towards town what fun I was having.
Got to buffalo and found a store.
Only a six packs were left.
So back in the truck i went down the road
And I found myself at a shopping center. In Erie.
There was just a case of beer so off I went once more.
When the beer ran out, I looked for a store.
In buckley west va.In a gasstation.Once again two cases of beer i did find.
So off I head south once more.
When I ran out of I found my self in buffalo.(sc) . I call old joe and told him i would be back
That I'm in buffalo. Old said to me that the beer was in the barn at the end of the road.
What a beer trip it was.

Chicago Bank Robber In a Wheel Chair

Saw it online-
Chicago headline, it read...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"FBI says bank robber called the cops to give confession and rolling location."
Apparently a 25 year old disabled man decided to hold up a teller and flee with $850...

Now for the kicker: The crime was committed in a bank inside the RANHURTS Shopping Center and the wheelchair convict was sentenced two and a half years and actually is from WHEELING, Illinois a suburb of the "Windy 2nd City."

Ok, either the guy failed to hear the call of a little girl in the parking lot yelling "Run Forrest Run!"
Or he flat out forgot his hometown's varsity team cheer "Go WHEELING, Let's Go!"
Because oddly enough, the criminal called 911 on HIMSELF moments after the stickup. He was found by police at the nearest payphone, in his wheelchair, holding the loaded wallet.
Quality convicts come in all shapes and sizes.
