Sun-Shiny Saturday

Somewhat seem Spellbound, 
by the subtle and soft...
surrounding sounds, 
and the sensational surreal, 
spectacular scenery, 
somewhere on the south side...
of- "San Salvador" 
Sunbathing in silence... 
on the sandy seashore's shoreline, 
and sulking up the sunrays, 
in the scorching yet soothing
and self-satisfying, 
sublime...
sun!

The Day I Found A Shiny Button At The Beach

A lovely button pops out in the summer sun 
pick her up and she will bring you luck 
Walks along the beach, a seashell spun 
by the silk of the ocean, a little red truck 

Coconut sensation a radio pinned upon the ear    
the sky is blue, the sea is foaming

Shiny and beautiful and new

For the broken. It doesn't have to be this way. Blessings.

Your broken pieces 
Keep making me bleed
Every time I show you kindness

SHINY CROWN

“Shiny Crown”

He wakes up every morning, sharp as can be,
Shaving that dome, twice a day you see.
No single hair dares to make a stay,
That polished bowling ball’s ready to play.

Olive oil’s his secret glow,
Axe spray makes the ladies go,
“Oh, that scent — it’s something new!”
He’s got that shine, and a mirror or two.

Complex Change

It seems like the old you and now are different.
The smile that reflects in your eyes is no longer the same.
Hair that flips when you walk is no longer shiny,
Tired eyes and body want to fight, but they're too skinny.

The old you that laughed genuinely,
A smile that made your cheeks feel chubby.
A walk that looked

The glittering sea, golden sand
 harmonious the sky
 with cute white clouds 
 it was said before this place 
became a tourist mecca 
another race of people lived
here, but they had sinned
Merciless, Jehovah’s wroth 
Not one survivor
That’s how it became 
A worldly Paradise  

I like shiny things

I love chrome bumpers
Sequins on headbands
Rhinestones on sweaters
Colored gemstones that are polished
Confetti, glitter,
Anything ritzy, ditzy or sparky
I love shiny things
Could I be a crow?

Shiny Pearls

In the night
different world.
City lights.
shiny pearls.

Losing sight
loved that girl.
Have to try.
Mindless swirl.

Will I love again
or never tomorrow.
All in break or bend.
Heavy, with sorrow.

warm autumn sparkles with shiny colors

autumn sparkles with shiny colors
her leaves twinkling and winking in the breeze
the forest is full of golds and reds today
walnuts are piling under my tall leafless tree

there should be a coolness, it is autumn, right?
but it is ninety-two degrees, odd for Kansas
this is nearly mid October, too warm for fall
I sit outside and smell charcoal

Not one 
is keeper
of the Whole
Yet each is a
reflection of It,
shining in 
colored 
brilliance
from each 
unique aspect

Shine bright, 
my sister-brother
and share what 
you uniquely are
In joining our collective lights,

Shiny Red Shoes

She was so excited and happy
It was her 5th birthday today
She had a lovely fun party
Lots of goodies came her way

She loved all her presents
But if she had to choose
Her favourite above all 
Were her shiny red shoes

She wore her shiny red shoes daily
Even tried to wear them to bed
She loved to dance in them

I sit rotting on my phone
And as I look at the girls on my screen
Straight teeth and shiny smiles
How I long to be what they are
How I long to have a non existent waist and the legging legs there fake workouts wouldn't give me
But I don't
So I sit and I stare at there posts and

A Bright Shiny Quarter

  A bright shiny quarter was rolling its way
    toward a young man with large bills to pay

  The nickel rolled by, ignored and shunned

You can only spend so many hours in labs, study groups and classrooms - under relentless, fluorescent lighting - before you start feeling life withdrawal.
