BIO 9
The key to my poetry by choice
 reciting poetry by human voice
Ear to ear a unique happening
experiential unrepeatable unfolding

Premium Member SELFIE 8

Freed to be who I really am you see
thus my art folio came to be
Figuratives portraits all spontaneous
my style now extemporaneous

Premium Member SELFIE 7

Creatively freed by Ephesians 2:9 & ten
the Holy Spirit guided my pen
Short verse then my first choice form
tanka,cinquain lanterne an everyday norm

Success,influence some wealth,but then,
                       unrest made me its pen:
Unease, unravelled thoughts in my mind,
                       shalom,I could not find:
I searched,re-searched,voyaged everywhere,
then trust and faith was found there:
Questions ebbed, doubts flowed 'ere I made my plea:
                             He heard,and now I see.

(after G Herbert style in 'Hope')

Golf a 'umbling game
It's all in the mind
just one swing away
from a problem..hiding.

Premium Member SELFIE 4

Training as a Chartered articled clerk
'sandwich ' type correspondence I made my mark
Not in audit but management accounting
spending a career .. just... 'figuring'

Premium Member SELFIE 3

I learn't my soccer on a neighbouring green
so the 50's attacking is my stylistic scene
Never watch the modern defensive passing back +fro
too negative,..too boring ..& much too slow

Premium Member SELFIE 2

Avid cricketeer (now armchair) I am
a fast bowler once but still now a fan
'Red' ball real cricket I mean to say
not 'white ball' contrived for a day

SELFIE
I reject some (not all) things traditional
especially in art & the poetical
The aesthetics I still like to keep
the conventional usually sends me to sleep

A Drab Day Takes a Selfie

Is this a picture
of the crumbling edge of a new day
or a snapshot of its departure?

I photograph daylight
as it leaks into the plastic hearses
of empty bottles.

Moths undaunted by a sickly sun
turn carnivorous, seeking morsels
of whiff and wisps.

The world keeps wearing its clothes
though there is less of everything,
colorless rags hang up
along thorny margins.

The earth wallows
within waveless mists and shadows.

All is gray and astray,
the way an old man’s peppery hair
is whipped by an ashen air
funneled through hollow lands.

Somewhere
beneath an unseen horizon
scarecrows croon
over sunflower bones.

Silly selfies by the pool.
Vacation memories to keep us through winter.

Called by God for divine endeavour
Blest midst faith's sweet-smelling savour
Gratefully sharing Gospel* with serene fervour.

*For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth...

Selfie

By nature, calm within storm and warm in form.
A tender touch resting upon a slender retouch.
A healing heart beneath a bleating bitterness.

Selfie

Humming a hymn - my bio in wild, lonesome scribbles;
but behind me dwell those who truly touch the heart.
They are the poets, not I.
