With own notion a wallflower blooms inward
conceals conviction no one perceives
until loneliness contours my mind.
Inside, a child still hides, trembling
Beneath quilts of murky memories
Drifting on a sea of incredulous winters
SELFIE
cockatoo upside-
down-under.
checks out
camera, outback
jiggles traffic cam.
handsome tuft
hangs on.

Quintus Horatius Flaccus
as Horace this poetwe now 'sus'
His words so full of charm&grace
sadly no 'selfie' exists of his face
With all these cellphone cameras
There's just no way we can win
We're breeding chronic posers
Shouting selfie time again
Freed to be who I really am you see
thus my art folio came to be
Figuratives portraits all spontaneous
my style now extemporaneous
Humming a hymn - my bio in wild, lonesome scribbles;
but behind me dwell those who truly touch the heart.
They are the poets, not I.
I wear shoes only when I have too,
those torture devices from the pit of hell
barely fit for winter when the weather is bitter.

The key to my poetry by choice
reciting poetry by human voice
Ear to ear a unique happening
experiential unrepeatable unfolding
By nature, calm within storm and warm in form.
A tender touch resting upon a slender retouch.
A healing heart beneath a bleating bitterness.
The master artist polymath Leonardo
the self-portrait to him,a no-no
The search goes on for us to see
& fame awaits the finder of his selfie
Thinking of you this morning.
Sending you a kiss via this selfie.
Write back or call me.

A creative spirit who lives inside her head
Her heart spills forth in ink, each syllable a story
Pouring three decades of emotions onto the pages
Creatively freed by Ephesians 2:9 & ten
the Holy Spirit guided my pen
Short verse then my first choice form

Hippo felt like a million dollars today
He had dressed himself happy and gay
Took a selfie which went viral right away
Hippo strutted around I.O.Way
Avid cricketeer (now armchair) I am
a fast bowler once but still now a fan
'Red' ball real cricket I mean to say
not 'white ball' contrived for a day

His bedroom, tossed sheets - she mussed her hair, snapped selfie
posting everywhere, she knew there was no turning back
Pillow Note: Lie to her now, not me
Trump went to the outhouse alone
And sat on his "Throne" with a groan
When out of the dark
There flashed a bright spark
When Trump dropped his selfie iPhone
An artist and poet, I was born to be;
devoted to one man and our family.
At eighty-six years, I still live happily.
SELFIE
I reject some (not all) things traditional
especially in art & the poetical
The aesthetics I still like to keep
the conventional usually sends me to sleep
Should See Selfie He Took
You should see selfie he took:
Could it be that he is a crook;
We know why;
On sloppy sly;
About Trump must write a book.

Training as a Chartered articled clerk
'sandwich ' type correspondence I made my mark
Not in audit but management accounting
spending a career .. just... 'figuring'
dwelling within us, God takes a selfie
oh weary monk, what’s the image He sees
reflect awhile in the cave of our heart
thus feeling not thinking, choose to unfreeze
