Notes About The Poem

A TESTIMONY

SELFIE 6

Success,influence some wealth,but then,
                       unrest made me its pen:
Unease, unravelled thoughts in my mind,
                       shalom,I could not find:
I searched,re-searched,voyaged everywhere,
then trust and faith was found there:
Questions ebbed, doubts flowed 'ere I made my plea:
                             He heard,and now I see.

A concise, heartfelt spiritual journey from worldly success and inner unrest to trust, faith, and shalom. The Herbert-inspired balance of doubt, searching, and answered prayer gives it a graceful devotional quality.
