John 12:35-36 KJVAAE??
[35] Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth. [36] While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.

Ephesians 5:8-9 KJVAAE??
[8] For ye were sometime darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light; [9] (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth;)
Jesus,is the One sent to roll away the Stony hearts of mankind. Through the Holy Spirit to purify One into A child of the Living God, but world religion is out to stop this Spirit, for self praise and glory, that these teachings are in vain , within you my friend is where God's promised spirit longs to dwell. : )

Premium MemberGlory Unto God

There is no money in the truth
No fame for all to know your name
Many selling goats and sheep
And the dove collecticeables
Still in these days to gain self praise
And profit from what Jesus done
The truth will strip one down to the core
In giving all glory unto the God
That snatched one from captivity of death
Not looking for a temple built by human hands
But within each one of us
To see none is good are better
Some have been circumcized from old self
While many still running around embracing it
But all have been given same access to unite
To become less of what the world chases after
And more of dying to the these ungodly ways
Sadly the truth might leave many
Feeling alone in this world of corruption
But within there is a fire that gives strength
In rememberence of Jesus trouble to find 12
To bring forth the new covenant tribes
For he even knew they would turn against him
Until they received the inheritance of the
Promised spirit to manifest within
Then they knew He was in them
And the Father He had told about in unity
May God bless, comfort, guide and
Fill you with His peace, love, truth,
Spirit and joy in abundance

Why Things Happen
By: Miracle Man
7/7/2023

Hindsight,
has always been 20/20
with little room for self praise.
It’s difficult looking forward
if I’m held captive by earlier days.
I’ve envisioned life,
as being one eye on today,
the other, on my time unspent.
Both good and bad things
are allowed to happen,
to both good and bad people
according to God’s intent.

Premium MemberThought of the Day

A thought for the Day
How do people believe
We can all agree on politics
Are to that matter anything
When we have to have
A church on every corner
These churches are not full
This is not the problem
For each believe they
are the only good one
For to many want self praise
Jesus constantly told us
I am not good but my
Father who sent me
And I know I am miserable and wretched
When I tried to direct my own path
For when one sees
We are the temple,
 God
Watched His Son
Die for the corruption
Of this wicked world
That He might come in the spirit
And dwell within our body
To become a living spirit being
He wants to walk, talk and shine his love
Through us daily
Not to be limited to a couple hours of church
For all can appear good in this time of fellowship
How have these become
The ones the waiters hate to see coming
Only then will you really see the foolishness
Of this wicked world and not
Want to walk around in it
But be pulled out of it
There is one friend that
You can believe in and follow
His name is Jesus
Jesus did not pray for the world
But for the ones God sent him
Those who seek and cry out
Love you all

Premium MemberThe Gift

How do you use your gift
For God loves to give them
Oh the so many beautiful voices
He has given to sing his praise
That began in a small church
Are used to lead people away
But they will give him praise
For the entertainment of the world
As if he gave it to them to gain
The treasures that will be left behind
The greatest voice I have ever heard
Is one that started singing for the world
But cried out to his savior
And then he sang for the one that gave him life
This voice will bring comfort to the soul
So many will be given a gift to write for God
But not many will like or give them praise
So they confide to the world to receive self praise
There are many gifts that are given
It's just do you receive self praise
Or do seek to give it all to God
And you preachers that tell your followers
God will bless you in riches of the this world
How foolish could one not see
That is living in Christ this to be what we seek
The greatest gift you will ever inherit
Is the holy spirit dwelling within
Molding and creating a new creation
That gives a seal unto eternal life

The Cardinal and the Rose

The cardinal saw the rose
puff in rosy self praise and pride
It chimed beating its own drums
exultant about its beauty
The cardinal retorted
Hey, don't blush in vain
just hush and shush with that vanity
for I'm just as ruddy red.
Besides I can fly
with my head held high
The rose never nodded
The cardinal waited for no reply.

Premium MemberOperating On Christianity

Can I claim to be Christian without casting judgment
in ways that aren’t Christ-like? Aspiring to faith proves faith’s real?
Or does saying, “I’m Christian,” more grant I’m a sinner
apart from God’s Grace that Christ bought on the cross as it’s price?
Can humility honor self-praise, “I’m disciple?”
Can Grace I derive from Christ’s blood be man’s ‘willful sin’s’ salve
when the fact makes a lie of what I pray redeems soul?
Christ taught, “Works aren’t proof of our faith (that can lead us to boast!)”

Let us pray that Grace lives in what Christ says shows pigment
the colors Love brings when works flow from changed hearts to reveal
what faith looks like: the servant: the gold-medal winner?
Is faith shown in mercy (to others?), a grand sacrifice?
Best to work in ‘our wisdom’ or rest in ‘Christ’s Gospel’
that swears that it’s only in faith one gets saved? Is improv
soul’s best gambit, vague hope time discovers a loophole?
The best one can give to this world is a succinct riposte?

Pride

All I've ever accumulated was
    pride
Everything I've accomplished was
     me by my side.
I gave praise to me, my beauty,
    my knowledge and my
        skills,
I sought out the praise from
others, and boy was it a
       thrill.
I challenge anyone who thought
    they were better than
       me,
No one stepped up, as far as
    my eyes could see.
For I only saw me, myself
    and I,
I'd prospered quickly, I had
    multiplied.
But then life fell hard on me,
It's the kind of thing that
    brings you quickly to
       your knees.
I stood with nothing, not even
    pride,
I lower my head in shame, I closed
    my eyes.
I said in a whisper because I felt
    so ashamed,
"Please forgive me in
    Jesus' name."

Premium MemberGifts To Share

Gifts from God packed with rich grace*
Good health, glad heart midst faith’s brace
Vain are they when love is nought...
Blest as shared, void of self praise.

*Ephesians 1:7 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.

Friends and Enemies

Your success is your friend’s distress
Your friend’s distress gives you self-praise
Your enemy is the closest watcher
Your friend in the distant watcher
Your enemies conceal their rivalry
Your friends reveal their rivalry
Your friends compete with you
Your enemies deplete you
Your enemy wears a mask
Your friend masks your wear
Your enemy’s enemy is you friend
Your friend’s friend may be your enemy

Premium MemberAntoinette Marcelle

Some don't know her very well-
My sister, Antoinette Marcelle;
A reserved and silent beauty,
To see her is a pleasantry.

Though she is much younger than me,
We two are the youngest of three.
A gift from our father, Marzell,
Is the second name of Antoinette Marcelle.

Summer days are peachy keen,
A flower grows where none has ever been!
And is therefore rarer than rare,
For others are abloom elsewhere.

Antoinette Marcelle, a wishing well!
And birds sing in the dell,
And shadows chase the sound of song,
As they dart and flit along.

With my brother, we are three,
Side by side in destiny;
But youngest of us is Antoinette Marcelle,
The last button on Jacob's coattail.

Note: My late mother drew this picture of Antoinette when she was still a child. She gave me a copy. I have always loved this song by Carly Simon, and that's why I included it, not with any intention of self praise. It's such a loving song about sisters, and it's always made me think of mine. Actually, I'd like to be my younger sister. :0

Premium MemberProfitable Chastisements

Discipline toward
functional goodness…
That’s kindness
bereft of self-praise
done for God’s honour!

     Profitable*
     are chastisements
     leading to great
     transformation.

          Here am I…
          …yielding to
          corrections.

               Lord, now
               I stay…

                    Checked!

*Titus 3:8 …They which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men.

Premium MemberThe Modern Baal

There is a war on earth against God
attacking the very corner stones within pillars of belief

Shepherd when the stars of doom eclipse red faced
cornered facts bleeding innocent the silent screams tremble

Unheard angels filtering through the moonlight
kneeling souls pray for His dire mercy

To make this world right again filled with peace
Condemn the guilty as wolves they are killing sheep

Ripping little ones to pieces sacrificed at the pagan temple
where the purity of love has been tarnished ugly by these loveless strays

Savages impotent against the powers of nature
prostrating the cringing submission of a slave

Begging blind articles of self praise enslaved ideas removing independence
from true facts not acknowledged for their value underneath respect

Despite its wanton infliction of pain apes amongst rats devouring
democratic views under heaven's command thou shalt not kill

Pass It Off As One's Own Plagiarize

not to boastfully brag
or to overly self-praise
but I gave, and I gave
my creative lyrics
the best and the worst
of my unhappy days
thinking to myself they will
never see the light of day
so I put pen to paper
and paper to my many dreams
and set out to explain to myself
the wonder of life's distinct existence
or life's complete ugly misses
but someone surreptitiously came along
with betrayal in mind
and gave the world all my hopes and penned dreams
that i didn't know how to share
but to simply misrepresent
in mass misrepresentation
must be ok if your a musical person
I sometimes wonder if that country singer
feels the pain of me
or the rapper knows he and she
took many of my dreams
so got a safe deposit box
and then the vulgar and profane
came in to view
the things that the musical world
would do

p.s. all in the name of jobs...
it takes more than just a singer to get the job of plagiarizing

Archana

Though "Self praise is no recommendation"
Still I know I'm His best creation.
Now I would like to tell
So let me come out of the shell.

I'm nobody but an eight
Before zero in weight.
Just a little heavy and rolly-polly
Like a ball that is called volley.

Lazy, quiescent and a bit stupid
Actually I'm an innocent cupid.
People call me a fool
and that makes me feel cool.

Meaning of my name is to worship
But that's the thing we can always skip.
"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet"
I'm Archana and my friendship would be a treat.
