Segue Poems | Examples

Passing People

In New York City, passing people
Do not say hello,
Unless you see them often -
Then a nod’s the way to go.

If lots of time goes by, this just might
Segue to a smile,
But even that might happen only
Once in a great while.

A newbie or a tourist sometimes
Gives a great big shout -
“Good morning!” - that’s at least until
They’ve figured it all out.

Today I’m in the suburbs, though,
To visit with the grands.
I took an early walk and
Maybe someone understands

Why all the people I passed by
Ignored my smile or nod.
Considering location, well,
I found it kind of odd.

My age might be a factor,
Which would really be a pity,
Or perhaps, they’re brand-new neighbors
Relocated from the city.

Premium Member Dark Eyes Crying

     Dark shades shield sensitive eyes
       when tears are nigh

Before a hitch be heard in the voice
       yawns segue to deep sighs

Premium Member Electric Blue

This is my haiku
It's about Electric blue
borrowed, old and new

Do you look through blue?
What excites your horizon?
Do you have a clue?

Electric blue eyes
(Of which I have two of, love)
Sometimes see grey skies

Blue green gray segue
Still looking through electric
Blue, blows you away

Electric blue eyes
What I look through to see you
See you in disguise

Premium Member Upbeat Day Ahead

I hail each bronze, red, and blue coloured dawn,

as pulsing heart mould torch flame of bliss,

to gaze across some awestruck mint sprig lawn,

that golden birthright never goes amiss

Eye beam urban verve one duly savours,

coruscating joie de vivre street life,

bursts of swift dash coffee’s hazel flavours,

cell-phone upbeat day ahead hubbub rife

Blue robin high pitch chirp from chimney top,

sets the tone for morning wonders brightly,

activate those spark prompt hunches nonstop,

schedules met in narrow windows tightly

In suburb or in city centre fair,

skies and pavements segue with deft flourish,

your dreamland ticket ace broad daylight flair,

groundbreaking spurt fantastic, let us nourish

Dynamic itch to stray amid blind alley,

lurk within some parboiled notion latent,

steel clad zone that mosaic sculpted tally,

animated focus me the claimant

Treat was lulled to sleep
listening to his beloved owner play sax
it was the perfect segue to heaven
when he awoke he was a puppy again!

Seja

Seja

Doutor Lauro
Vejo-te
como o
vento livre,
em mar sem fim,
verdadeiro
consigo,
sem amarras
do ruim.

Sábio, sabe,
que o amanhã
é uma semente,
plantada em
cada instante,
e a mudança
é a mariposa,
na vida
que segue.

Barco

Barco

Na correnteza
da vida,
veleja Lauro,
na maré
dos dias,
seu barco
guia...

No barco,
carrega
a humanidade,
sorriso,
e segue
a uma ilha
a descobrir
sempre
mais e mais.

Desenho

Desenho

No desenho do dia,
Dona Dalva
é destaque,
desenha
destinos
liberta
a Luz,
e levanta
alegria.

Dona Dalva,
no despertar
de cada dia,
Dona Dalva
dá vida
decidida.

Segue a vida
Luminosa,
Dona Dalva.

Fazimento

Fazimento

16 anos
somados,
com Miriam
sempre
a florescer,
a fé que
instiga
o fazimento,
de feitos
fabulosos.

Dia a dia,
Miriam
constrói
a fórmula da fé,
e inspira sempre
a fazer
com pouco,
muito mais
e mais.

Segue Miriam,
inspire
e colha forças.

Promessa

Promessa

Cada amanhecer
traz consigo
a promessa,
de que o esforço
e a dedicação
valem a pena.

Dona Dalva,
de segunda
a segunda,
“segue à risca”
persiste,
Encanta
e sua marca é plena.

Gratidão,
sempre,
Paz e Bem.

Supera

Supera

Dona Dalva,
Desbravadora;
faz história
renascida,
sempre mais
e mais,
segue a vida
a erguer
monumentos
com alma
inabalável
e sempre
mais e mais.

Florescer

Florescer

Dona Dalva,
força que
faz florescer
vontades,
nutre os sonhos,
distribui
memórias
de atenção.

Dona Dalva,
guerreira
das vontades
inquietas,
inspira ideais,
dá voz
ao bem;
com pouco
segue
e faz sempre;
muito mais
e mais.

Escultora

Escultora

No tic-tac
dos relógios,
velozes,
de Domingo
a Domingo,
segue forte
Dona Dalva
mestre
das escolhas:
encontra
tempo
para todas
as vozes.

Cada minuto,
para Dona Dalva,
é um diamante,
a esculpir e
lapidar,
e, no ofício
de viver,
Dona Dalva
faz de cada instante
uma obra-prima
esculpida em brilhante.

Obrigado Dona Dalva
Por esse dia de Domingo!

Quer

Quer

Mulher do mês
ela pode,
ela quer,
ela sempre
vai além,
ela não
descansa,
continua,
segue, alcança,
ela, a mulher
do mês
sempre
avança
desafia
o mundo e
sempre pode,
sempre
faz do pouco,
mais e mais.

Firme

Firme

Em sábado sereno,
sua imagem
aparece;
crescer em vida,
tanto em profissão,
com arte
e maestria
em cada ação.

Sempre em
frente,
guerreira,
empreendedora,
que aos sábados,
segue sempre
em busca
de tesouros,
e do
próprio valor
e de fazer com menos
mais e mais.
