The Chilly Month of December
And so comes winter, after late fall,
When from ashen skies of low-lying clouds,
Snowflakes fall, enshrouding the town
And piling on people tramping around.
Snow fills footprints, extinguishing traces
Of icy stares glinting on smiling faces
From people uttering steamy greetings
Who are out and about in the wintry season.
And this I say to these venturous kind
Who are enjoying the snowy weather:
“Beautiful is the sight that enthralls my eye”
In the chilly month of December.
Bending light of waning sun
Frosted leaves an artist splash
Chilled the evening time for fun
Apple harvest time to stash
Summer past fulfilled your wishes
Present miracles of life
Harvest now abundant dishes
Fruit of efforts happy wife
Seasons Greetings candles burning
Thankful moment to consider
Celebrate the peaceful turning
Finest moment life delivers
Days dwindle down to a new year
Expectations sing into all ears
Can you believe how fast time drifted away?

Gaia plans, throws a party
A celebration of life.

It's almost here y'all!
You can't tell it?
Well,
I can smell it!
It smells like promise
of finishing well
of Season's Greetings
round the corner
of cozy warm cups
blankets and such--
seems far away...
but believe it!
More than two hundred million miles from home,
the Discovery mission continues to roam.
Dr. Frank Poole and I are as well as can be.
Our computer friend named “Hal” provides security.
The remaining three are still in suspended animation.
We’re on a steady course to Jupiter, our destination.
Here is a holiday greeting to our earth-based station:
Share in joy and love, all the nations of the earth.
This season, may you be filled with merriment and mirth.
