Camel

Hey- what'll you do if you're left alone,
and it's not all, on a hot and dry land
Where nobody is nix known?
Listen to a camel's heart-
Camel, storing all its strength in its hump,
and looking very-very smart.
Camel resists in desert's dirt,
Can you think how much he envied?
He's often called the 'ship of desert':
This is because of their
 Ability to navigate the harsh desert
which sounds awful and mournful
But never mind, it's all desert's scramble,
So hats off to camel uncle!

Africa the Beautiful Bride

The beautiful bride for the world prepared,
by Europe's colonial powers divided.
Her priceless worth was seen and hardly spared;
hence the need to woo her was decided.
Two great superpowers made their advances,
as she danced before their lustful glances.
Now she's wooed by none other than the Chinese;
who dangle their bread crumbs and putrid cheese;
seeking relentlessly her heart to please.
Africa is no doubt a priceless jewel,
historically contested for by a duel.

Premium Member Bramble Scramble

I scrambled on the hill,
avoiding any spill.
The rocks required some skill
to stay upright.

A covering of leaves,
hid brambles, thick as thieves,
and roots, I do believe,
lurked out of sight.

So pick your path with care,
some sturdy shoes to wear,
with lots of sunshine there,
not at first light.

----------

A Violette, which seems to me a tail-rhyme with specific additional requirements: 6/6/6/4 stanzas with aaab, cccb, dddb rhyme. (You can
continue with more stanzas, all using the 'b' tail). There is a mention of a 'feminine rhyme', but I've not found a good definition for that yet.

The Scramble

While with others for the treasured scramble,
We sometimes like Acrobats tumble,
The message wiring across that we’re nimble
But all too soon like an elephant amble,
And like the soaked in Bacchus stumble
And like ramshackle walls crumble;
From our bellies a heard rumble
And The Once Fluent begins to ramble,
Lots of a tailor beginner's fumble,
Not good at the use of a thimble
That sometimes forces out a grumble
Before our becoming at last humble;
From our loud speeches to a mumble.

Plane

Everyone dreams of being

In the clouds

But only know how

To get there by

Smoking loud.

I'm tired of the weed.

People only

Know how to feed

Bad habits.

They want to lead

By example.

They concede and

Get trampled.

Things get rocky.

Life turns from solid

To shambles.

Procrastination is

A Fascination.

Stress levels increase.

We all scramble.

Premium Member Scramble Ramble Damble Boo

Scramble, ramble, damble, boo.
Amble, gamble, jamble, moo.
I like rhymes that are prancy and good.
The ones that remind me of my childhood.

Bibbity Bobbity Dibbity Doo.
I am in a child-like mind, how about you?
Dr. Seuss and Shel Silverstein have taken over my brain.
I want to be serious, but simply cannot refrain.

The sheer happiness of their marvelous rhyme
Kept my younger self in stitches, much of the time.
Red flower, green bush, cumulous clouds, and sky of azure blue.
It is my attempt at two unusual words. How did I do?
