He’s behind the bar,
polishing glasses
like they’re his last remaining purpose.

“I know things!” he insists.
“I watch Question Time!
I once bought quinoa by accident!”

He pours stout
with the weight of centuries.
Tries to explain The Bell Jar
like it’s a limited-edition craft IPA.

You raise a brow,
sip espresso
from a flamingo-shaped chalice,
and summon Virginia Woolf.

half disapproval, half divine fog

The Medusa's At the Hair Salon

Mr. and Mrs. Medusa
Put their huge hats on their heads
To constrain their hair that always
Looks like they just got out of bed 

They drove off to the hair salon
Even though they remembered
That when her mom asked long ago
For a trim, she got dismembered

More Than a Hair Salon Widower

I'm loathe to agonize, but it's an issue guys!
Some cash wafts heaven sent, but spoils like excrement!
It's shops long hours that stink (are driving me to drink!)
I sit home long retired. She's younger, art inspired;
she loves her work's deft strokes on hair for gals (YES! BLOKES!)

A Day At the Puppy Salon

I'm off to the puppy salon,

to get pampered and spoiled today,

all my pup smell will be gone,

my mom, says she likes it better that way,

they will fluff and dematt,

not sure I'll love that,

but then I'll be loving,

that warm bubble bath,

my groomer will trim me all up,

in a perfect lil pup cut,

she'll trim my nails, and
