Ex-KGB prime minister then president
twice.? Entered into Minsk accords..
Watched many countries from
The old Warsaw pact shorn.'
Did allow a con-vid response.' Yet no
coercion or shaming, no fear ensconced
Not as i could have expected, it to be.?
Then in early twenty, twenty two, put a
Military force into Ukrainian sectors
All pro-Russian i'd say; thats quite true.'
Banned transgender and same sex
coupling, he gets disparaged..He appears viewed
From outside, a determined leader.' Internally
I undamaged' What
Effects will be engendered, how long will
He linger.? Will he deter
another world war? Almost by default.? Whats waiting in
Store? I remember the old cold war.' Claim and
Counter.? I'd rather that, than continents
burst asunder.? I view the scenes and hope
Some sense.? Could things cool down.? I
Forget recompence..And for what.? I plead
No war..Neither big nor small. They are counter productive chores."

God's Covidence

This novel pestilence
From which we have no defence
Or found sure evidence
Of its maleficence
To do such violence
We can't tell the difference
From hoax or sciences
And though I'm not against
Giving recompence
To a pitiful audience
That has no common sense
Our leaders take no offence
To insult our intelligence
And lack due diligence
For based on experience
They have preference
I don't own a fancy Benz
Or wear dark colored lens
Worth three hundred pence
But in God I have confidence
As I see his providence
I trust his omniscience
And feel his omnipotence
I hide in his omnipresence
And bow to his preeminence
So its not coincidence
I give Him my reverence
I beg for your indulgence
And most kind patience
For in these sentences
I make no pretense
I hate church absences
For such conveniences
We lose our innocence
To delight in His presence
This is the consequence
Of our disobedience
In this age of affluence
And techie influence
At home with our decadence
Our reason for existence
Is not to video conference
Sin's awful virulence
Seared our consciences
In this time of turbulence
May our hearts be his residence
And shine with excellence

It doesn’t stop
Till the moneys gone
Around the way
It doesn’t take too long
At least I feel something
Not nothing
A relaxing
Freedom in my brain
No recompence
No remorse any more
Just out of
And looking to score

Premium Member The God I Adore

The God I adore is the King Almighty Who revives my soul!
Blazing with compassion, He divinely fires up my worship zeal
Obscuring earthly pulchritude of brilliant alluring appeal
Toward revelation that radiates heavenly stewardship’s goal.

I esteem my Lord* – the best paragon of utmost sacrifice
Devoid of royal charisma, He came as a lowly servant
Enduring discomfort to offer freely His love of great price
Assuring me eternal life, as well as birthday blessings’ grant!

*Hebrews 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

Recompence

A member of the cast
Of "Hamilton," addressing Pence,
Implored him to do right by all,
On both sides of the fence.

With knowledge of how he believes,
It made a lot of sense
Although, from some reactions,
Seems the Veep-elect was tense.

Advice to other bigwigs
In Trump's inner circle, hence -
When in New York, prepare yourselves
For cries of recompense.

P.S. The only bone here,
And of course I need to pick it,
Is how, to "Hamilton" was Pence
Allowed to snag a ticket!

And the Rain

Trying to fill the time and fill the page.
While the rain outside takes center stage.
The plans I've made have been delayed.
I placed my bet, but the bid's been stayed.

I've now resigned to be confined.
Within the bounderies of my mind.
The arid sense of recompence.
Keep my thoughts up on the fence.

Deadlines ticking with every drop that falls.
But I'm safe and dry inside these walls.
Waiting till the God's see fit.
To let me continue and get on with it.

The pressure cooker is letting off steam.
Telling me things are'nt as they seem.
There are only so many breaths in one lifetime.
So I'll take a break and put it down in rhyme.

That perfect web of pure deceit
Harsh words lying bold at her feet
Her eyes so cold, freezing hearts
Verbal darts fling to the street

Yet in that rash ill mannered state
Her words somehow fail to relate
Hence she picks from a la carte
That psycho somatic soul mate

In due time and some recompence
There is that change, current events
That swollen look, the baby mart
She dares not get out much since

is a form I made up. aaba ccbc ddbd

Vengeance

Vengeance is mine

Rhyme and reason in accord,
Vengeance is mine says the Lord,
Murder is not fine by the sword,
If there be, one Judgement’s season.

No other thought does make much sense,
Universal recompence,
A plan to virtually commence,
Vengeance is the reason.

Napolean slaughtered half of Europe,
Back in the eighteen hundreds, whence,
The French suffered two wars, since,
Had to cope,
For their earlier offence,
Vengeance.

Japan may go into the sea,
Chinese murder, blood ran free,
Slaughter foul in the Pacafic sea,
No nation escapes, just vengeance free,
Will vengeance be their Karma.

Where ere you look,
Order, man has took,
And everything is measured,
Mind like man, usually planned,
But God may show displeasure :(
Don Johnson 12-jul-11

If there is reason and consequences, in the creators eye, watch your bloody ps and qs, when you go bye n bye...:(

Secret Beauty

There is a secret to beauty
As timeless as the ages
With constant love and duty
Since the beginning stages
No wages could recompence
This fountain built of youth
And praises so excellent
For the art of work and truth

There is a beauty secret
That keeps you patient and kind
That first impression, I'll keep it
Etched in my heart and mind
So divine in all you say and do
Still angelic you do appear
With every teacher who loves to
Teach us to reach our goals each year

Dedicated to my Kindergarten teacher: Ms. David
