The God I Adore
The God I adore is the King Almighty Who revives my soul!
Blazing with compassion, He divinely fires up my worship zeal
Obscuring earthly pulchritude of brilliant alluring appeal
Toward revelation that radiates heavenly stewardship’s goal.
I esteem my Lord* – the best paragon of utmost sacrifice
Devoid of royal charisma, He came as a lowly servant
Enduring discomfort to offer freely His love of great price
Assuring me eternal life, as well as birthday blessings’ grant!
*Hebrews 11:26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.
