eleven puppies
scrambling for attention
while mom's distracted

Premium Member Shocked Puppies

Pup Choco is so closed with pup, Milky
Sleeping in couch… load of cuteness to see!
Snuggling warmly together,
Kitten climbs up to bother,
They run away yelping, leaving their pee.

Premium Member Young puppies

Tired
too young puppies
sleeping on comfy couch
while curious cat sneaks on by
wore out

Premium Member Attempting to Outguess my Puppies

attempting to outguess my puppies I run outside
up the hill, next to the fort and the huge water slide
I refill their water bowls, which total up to seven
Thinking they will remember their doggy park heaven

Lethargic, they both lie in the mud glaring at me
under the tutelage of the honey thistle tree
I sit in the sun thinking this idea was a dud
We go back inside where they bring all that annoying mud

Premium Member Charise Collects Puppies and Birds

Puppies and birds, they were Clarise’s go-to’s.
She always had her eyes out, she never did snooze.
Fishing them out of crevices, crannies and old boats.
She never brought home llamas, donkeys or goats.

Puppies and birds, she collected faster than most.
I have sixty-two robins, she said in way of a boast.
Her blue glasses were always full of dribbles of white.
These birds let down squirts on every one of their flights.

The puppies seemed happy, none were in cages or a pen.
I cannot open the door, she said, afraid I can’t let you in.
We didn’t want in there, but we liked seeing Clarise.
She has a keen sense of humor, and empathy, my little niece.

Premium Member Baby Garter Snakes are Like Puppies

Baby garter snakes are like puppies in a way
They pile themselves together on a cold windy day
I don’t know about you, but a snake pile might scare me.
Whereas a puppy pile would look as cozy and welcoming as could be.

Premium Member two diverse puppies

digging dog makes trench
big brother sits regally
two diverse puppies

Premium Member and seventeen puppies

She was bumfuzzled in many ways
Where had her dog been all those days?
He came home with seventeen puppies to play
And a wife, courtesy, of her neighbor Shay

Premium Member Puppies

Pouncing on all that moves
Playfully mimicking all we do
Purposely frolicking and care-free
Pretending to mind, but only for food
Panting for all your attention
Protesting by squeals and barks
Purporting to have our hearts

Premium Member Poems are like puppies

Poems are like puppies
cute cuddly little bastards
that steal your heart
trouble your soul
amuse and annoy
tinker with our thinkers
smile with us and at us
and sometimes....
well, ask Jan

Premium Member The Puppies at Six Weeks

The puppies now are pitching fits,
their momma says just you quit,
there's no more suckling on my t*ts,
you'll be rehomed in a little bit.

Premium Member Invited Puppies to Tea

I have invited puppies to tea with Earl Gray brew.
With canned beef, chopped liver and bits of chicken too.
They are coming in, frolicking with a twitch and a twee.
How much more delighted could this impromptu tea party be?

They do not like the cushy embroidered chairs, barking their disdain.
They have torn down some curtains, their energy is a drain.
I am worn out and overworked when I finally scoot them out,
That’s the last time I shall invite puppies to tea no doubt.

Premium Member sheis hiding puppies

At first Constance was only was hiding one small pup
Fed him tiny bits of meat, gave him a teensy cup.
On Tuesday she found a second doggie needing a home.
At last count she had six terriers and a beagle that liked to roam.

I cannot believe your husband has not discovered them I said.
He is kind of deaf, and slow, and not real bright, kind of brain dead.
Don’t they bark sometimes? I asked, really wanting to know.
She replied,
That’s when he goes outside and searches for dogs in the snow."

Premium Member Playful Puppies

Puppies colored brown, black, white,
pounce and tumble, such a sight.
Noisily they squeak and yip,
watch your fingers, they might nip.

Little legs trip and fumble,
bodies lay in a jumble.
Silly pups are full of play,
roly poly all the day.

Rumors About Puppies Have To Hush

had seen some puppies
who we had wanted to hush
about all rumors

did see open door
to come in we will invite
hear words which we say

we wanted to write
a book which criticizes
we will talk about

walk trail of distress
while we straighten out this mess
sins start to address

must pull together
bring much peace back again
start preparing for

day and time did come
things become normal again
like they once had been
