on the full moon
     i fix my gaze
look! a bloomed rose...
     it smells so nice!

fine day it is...
     folks wave at me
and i wave back
     while on my stroll.

there's much to see
     as well as hear
bird sings sweet song
     perched on tree stump.

out in fresh air
     i see great sights
oh, i don't want
     this day to end!

Premium MemberPROMENADE MARCH

Let’s enjoy our promenade march with bliss
Brod and Sis, this is great fun we won’t miss…

Altogether, we do step forward now
Then to our partners, let’s give a glad bow…

Turning to the right, let’s hop without fright
Let’s leap with all our might for triumph’s flight…

Toward the left, keep moving, making stride
Let’s take care not to show arrogant pride…

Oh, yes, let’s prepare for do-si-do flair
With unity and harmony of pair…

Let’s show well our caring partnership’s best
Marked by fellowship along kindness zest…

Let’s smile, laugh, and rejoice while shaking hands
Relieve our hearts and minds from life’s demands…

With thanksgiving, we let joy to prevail
Let’s praise God Whose love for us does not fail.

On the Promenade

On the promenade they stroll,
The Hokas and Adidas,
While in between the pigeons squawk
And what they mean is "Feed us!"

Nikes and New Balance add
To Sunday's march of sneakers,
With Saucony's and OC's on
The feet of mileage seekers.

Some Skechers even make the scene
With Brooks and Reeboks showing;
All of them, at varied paces,
Coming here or going.

Growing up, we all had Keds
Or cheaper imitations.
Nowadays, the choice is vast
To match one's inclinations.

Premium MemberIs there any romance in a Square Dance

Here we go, all start with a left grand.
Apples in pies and peaches are canned.

Lost my partner waddle I do?
Single file promenade they’ll be back to you.

Flies in the buttermilk shoo fly shoo.
Sashay back to your darlin waitin for you.

Don’t hold her too tight she might be frail.
Allemande left, don’t be slow like a snail.

Now do-si-do here we go, keep on the trail.
And never tie a knot in a Guinea Pig‘s tail.

Swing your partner, where’s she gone?
Most fun you can have with all ya clothes on.

Now all join hands and circle wide.
Don’t tread on his boots they are his pride.

Swing your honey, swing her round.
Lift her feet right off the ground.

Humorous Patter Sayings

Bow to your partner now let's begin
Lift your skirts and kick his shin

Hold it tight and jump and cuss
Don't worry you can't offend us

Get her back gents, catch her quick
Snap her bra lickadee split!

Ain't she red now but comon let's dance
If you never now’s your chance

Got two left feet so you can't walk straight
That's OK cause you can promenade

Promenade up and promenade down
Your the purdiest girl in the whole durn town

Slap your knee and holler an’ wail
Bend on down and shake your tail

Tail, tail, pretty little tail
If you pull it I won't tell

I won't tell no sir yes ma'am
Do-si-do, do it all again.

Promenade On Mountain Rwenzori

Promenade on mountain
rwenzori in Goma.
We were in black and white on the snow
 looking  at the nice view
of the northern KIVU.
She was  over the moon
As it was her first time to be
At such wonderful place.
Speaking silently
with her  big eyes.
Staring at me fearlessly,
beautiful personality
whom my eyes kept
seeing for some years.
the promenade was fantastic,
As I was surrounded by some good folks
Enjoying the beauty of DRCongo in peace.
beside multiple attacks and rebellions
in some parts of East of DRCongo
which always provoked
by some jealous
neighbours
 of DRCongo who are supported
by the international community
and some super powers countries
to divide DRCongo into many countries
for them to continue stealling
Congolese's natural resources.
Majority Congolese remain very  kind
people on this planet
As they always fear God.

Premium MemberHalloween Promenade

The dance was a misguided tour
Masks and dresses Halloween
Themed promenade of sexes
Dark and dimly lighted
We invaded the wilderness
Beneath the hallowed moon
The wolves howling in the distance
Not one of us fearing their brutality
For assured that our costumes
And our numbers would keep
The creatures of the night away
One, two, three, one, two ,three
Living and shadows alike
Moved in unison in the thicket
A masterpiece in the making
Bestowing the puppetry of our
Dance to delight in the invisible
Strings for which the moon
Pulled us serendipitously
Like a haunted ghostly mirage

Premium MemberA Long Talk, a Long Walk

Let’s take a long walk
So we can have a long talk
About everything under the sun
And anything on earth, hon.

Let’s take an afternoon walk
Baby, we need to talk
About common sense
And all specimens of nonsense.

You and I must stay together
Honey, you and I must gather
All pertinent information
So we can have an honest discussion.

I loved you then and I love you now
I am talking for myself. Let’s wow
Each other as we stroll on the sand
Let’s talk, chat and laugh in the wind.

Let’s enjoy the long walk
Until the sun disappears
Let’s remain friends and peers
Let’s remain lovers and let’s talk.

it's easy to get enthralled
under the spell of incandescence
and hear the songs of sirens in the air

when moonlight glow endows each organism
with a magically intoxicating essence
that entices unsuspecting midnight prowlers

Promenade I

Upon the promenade, the path is twisted and turned,
each footfall is set to an unknowable rhythm.

Before thee runs the righteous coil
or is it a brilliant path of glory?

I see no solution to my turmoil
I travel this labyrinth alone...

It is spiraling down deep like a nautilus coil.

A dangerous and dark mystery
for each footfall has found
a different path upon a different world.

Traveling the unlit promenade
a path to purgatory
that twists turns and spiraling
along the way, I find no sanctuary.

Each footfall set to an unknown rhythm...

The lights are diminishing and flickering into death!

Time has moved along this promenade,
The stone crumbling to dust
The labyrinth is vast as it is winding.

I feel it unreel before me...

Upon the promenade,
the path is twisted, turned,
always dark along the promenade

a path to purgatory...

Premium MemberThe Marram Grass

when respite was
deckchairs and picnics
on car blankets
behind
windbreaks

sand was blown
into sheltered spaces
behind
driftwood and
rock.

dunes
grew
as grains of sand
accumulated
over time.

then
winds and waves
ate away
at everything
in their path.

as resilient barriers
gave way to
the full power
of nature’s
destructive forces

the
erosion
cried out
for radical
intervention:

something
to keep things
at bay
and
buy time.

like
the big plastic doors
that closed behind me
inside the
promenade hospital.

like
the blue paper masks
and the blue paper hats
in
the theatre.

like
the antibiotics
and disinfectant
on
'o' ward.

like
the marram grass
on the dunes
at
ainsdale.

Premium MemberGood Evening Promenade

This night the moon cast a light
for just a moment, a trust, a lust,
a gaze at the lingering lazy crowded stars.

The wind decided to play, upon its way
found its voice releasing its hold
whished a while around the ground
disturbing the old mole's layer of mold.

A roar tore through the silent moor
proposing passion through the naked, shaking trees;
never being meek, it took their boughs and danced a while.

Their get-together are always fun.

The wind promenaded into the park of yellow
blew words arousing the blue birds caressing their nesting fellows.

Lightning flashing, lighting, casting glamour over shadows,
zigzagging playfully around the meadow.

Rain of course forced a breath in and a breath out.
The ground was a blur throughout.
Gentle whispering disappears gulping in the air.

The owl gave a howling screech turning its head with a smite scowl
with that the wind decided to call it a night.

Promenade and Parade

Promenade and Parade

What they did was dance and promenade
All over entire town in a big parade
After of them had taken many views
Decided that they were all bad news
And as usual off course they strayed.

On the Promenade

Tour boat, ferry, sailboat, skiff
Bounce along the briny;
Sunshine sparkles on the waves,
Reflections bright and shiny.

Blimp and copter in the sky
Meeting no resistance;
Bridge, majestic, guarding all –
A pillar in the distance.

Police boat passes, pulsing blue
And beeps at people waving;
Children, on a trip from school,
Reluctantly behaving.

Downtown on the promenade,
The river slowly flowing;
I soak up my surroundings,
Glad for time before my going.
