A whimsical melody.
Or a ghostly one. It's always one.
On a hill. In the woodlands. Among
Oaks and birch trees wind
Twinkles in between layers of
The moment.
Moment - seems like something
Unequivocal
Yet the truth of it can never be fully
grasped. I get lost in the
Labirynths of understanding to find only
Misunderstandings. The rare clarity.
What makes a moment:
Colours, textures, scents, sounds
A world within or beyond
Me?
My mind. My past. My understanding of the past.
My sure
misunderstanding of the past. And the fact
That perhaps I just said 'I love you' or simply
'shall we grab a coffe'.
Or when I say nothing at all.
The Now
With infinite potentials.
Like a piece of clay I yet need to dare
To grasp. I think I need more courage.
Then I see that it comes to me
regardless.

As I walk through the land my Ancestors lay.
Blood fills the oceans, have we lead ourselves astray.
Seamlessly existing in an orchestrated plan.
Screaming false hope to countless souls responding ‘yes we can’.
All my concerns point to the future.
People’s attention being condensed, we’re living in torture.
Every aspect of what’s known has been taken.
Mind of a free man, will never stop until the agenda is shaken.
You think you see things, and yet your vision is impaired.
Get your eyes out of the tunnel scope.
Its okay you don’t have to be scared.
When you’ve accomplished, your soul fills with certainty.
That your influence is there, along with all the hope in the world you see.
Constant struggles, we bleed for our fellow brothers and sisters.
I could be walking with potentials, let me wash away my blisters.
Strength in numbers and we can be as tall as mountains.
Let’s all walk as one, towards the everlasting fountains.
It baffles me...
When you lose your warships
And life puts you in situationships
The mind gets disabled
Leaving you in disorder
Uttering your ability
Turning you into liability
Even when you're without disability
You start depending on others to survive.
It baffles me...
If you choose the matter over mind
Your thoughts and emotions begin to fail you
You'll start questioning or doubting yourself
Forgetting your potentials
You start loosing everything
Your confidence and people
Until you pick your spirit up, which is the mind.
It baffles me...
When you stumble, crumble or fumble
It becomes a trouble
Steadily disrupting your peace of mind
Causing mental bondages
When things don't workout for you
Because you know you're doing your best
Even when you try to find rest
Life steadily throwing you test
Never relent or regret, for it's part of the journey.
What is beauty?
Can I sing to it?
Can I bathe it in
Honeydew lotion
and read it ancient
love poems
as it fights the
gravity of sleep?
Can I feed it
pureed applesauce
and wipe its
dripping face clean?
Can I hold it in my arms
and feel the weight
of infinite potentials
I will carry on my
shoulders until it
finds place for them
on its own?
Can I grasp it
in the enchanting
gaze of a
Beautiful newborn?
I am human with the same dignity and power,
then why treat me like an alien?
Our skincolour differs, but we are all created and designed by one God and maker.
I have great potentials just like the white man,
But I am treated and rejected just because of my colour.
I undergo physical, emotional and social discrimination and suppression,
Just because my skin colour is black.
I have been enslaved and colonized by a foreign master,
Beaten and suppressed to accept a foreign rule,
Discriminated because of my elegant black beauty.
Striving to live and survive in this dominating world,
But all efforts seems futile.
I will continue to make efforts and see that my skin colour is appreciated and upheld in the society at large.
The Society Calls Me Black!
I looked into the mirror, but all that was painted was black,
"Blackey," they call me, but my brain isn't dark.
These potentials led to pits in the dark,
Welcome, the society calls me black!
I could have danced to the rhythm of their appraisals,
But my "Kolomentalism" left me in columns.
Like Matrix, I left my rows to get my arch,
The society calls me black!
My color made me the "?rú" in my territory.
With my possessions, I'm called an ape with so much savor.
Why must I obey?
The society calls me black!
With my sound base in the pharynx, why do I remain voiceless?
My talks went blank, so I was soundless.
Yet my intuitions are invaluable, but the locks that seized my voice are mysteries.
The society calls me black!
My uniqueness is now barbaric,
Living in a life that snares.
My "ila," the beauty, is now a mockery.
Because society still calls me black.

The child, a budding blossom
with potentials yet unfold
Never out of sight
like a rare gemstone
giving a whisper of hope
With laughter and innocence
She explores freedom
In the midst of little souls
with innocent minds exploring
the world of friendship
Her beauty glowed
like the lilies in it's full bloom
Engrossed in the joy
playing out in the rain,
Every drop running
through her flesh,
waves of air through
every strands of her hair
She feels more alive than ever
With each passing moment
Her bloom unfolds
Every time I come closer
Away farther it gets
Without understanding
Whispered by a seeker
The More calm
The more insights attained
Insight gateway for success
Successful light worker
Illuminating the dark
Wisdom must be applied
Timid is the mind
Those addicts of pleasures
Relying on uncertainty
Can't find way to navigate
Through life
Find someone to blame
Rather than taking
Responsibility of mistakes

A gateway, as one leads from Terra firma to the sea
Or a path leading to experiences and knowledge
A leap of faith to explore newer potentials, to free
My enslaved self, from every chain of self-afflicted bondage
My passage is not merely spatial; it's spiritual.
My space, from earthly to heavenly, is separated.
Realms are split from perishable to imperishable.
With virtues and values, verandas are decorated.
Divine vibes, like a million suns, moons, and stars, radiate
Cherubims lead my refined soul to the celestial home.
I shrug off the moments when all that was good I did hate.
The portals are all straight now; I no longer need to roam.
Communion of the earthly and heavenly portals show
Shoreless seas of grace wherein mortal souls merrily flow
Tinsel charm trees so bright how they shine on Christmas night
white snow falling gently calling, let us claim His light
forward into Christmas we are longing to ignite
as He gentles He potentials, He is power and might
Winter scenes and Noel gleams He is out of sight
this babe of love from up above has come to make it right
Beloved child of God Jul, riding on a mule they arrive tonight
that blessed family made of 3, such is our delight ...
Christ is born in Bethlehem touch his hem and heal thyself
yes he comes to save us all heed the call and share His wealth
lights and candles they do spangle as they roam with stealth
in a stable He is able, child of love and child of health,
Lights and candles how they spangle,
cling us to thy Holy Self...
Africa my Africa; of resources rich.
Aggressively wooed because her potentials enrich.
Africa the bride, historically bid for.
The continent dark with opulent fields to explore.
Your labour past prospered farmers of the Occident.
Your hidden value takes the gaze of the Orient.
Not even the world's giants can your 'dwarfness' ignore,
as they compete for potentials concealed therein.
You seek for succour but your abundance lies herein.
Your pleasant shores will no more the brain drain witness.
Your lush green will spring forth from your feigned wilderness.
Africa my home will her charming beauty unveil.
No more will your poverty stricken let out a wail.
History is the view of the far past in the present
Yet no present is without a past
Though the future looms before us
Yet nothing is new under the Sun.
Anything that is, has been before.
The present is life"s linkage to the future.
A future without the present is the present without a history.
The history of my people defines their pre-existence
The Nok terracotta, the relics, pieces of potters, are landmarks of a skilled civilization only being unearthed now.
The history refires their potentials.
History is you standing on thresholds of generations,
Whose genealogy has been lost.
You are the oral custodians that generations have longed to express.
A people without a history is a people without a future
Is a people without generational synergy
A people with traceable history have a future predicated on a great past.

Her toenails are as thick as a tortoise shell
She does not hesitate to tell
Potentials suitors to go to h…..
She has not been to charm school, says Cousin Kell
Tough old bird with opinions most would never tell
can perplex and stuplify with one old world spell
we are fascinated yet terrified by our grandma Nell
She calls us to supper with a possessed dinner bell
The most boring job in the world is having to watch someone enjoy his life and enrich his potentials every night and everyday and you have no choice but to stay bitter and conjure a gibberish lie

"Times have passed, times are here and times are ahead of us" said the 'Universe'.
Past times are gone, recent times will go and there are inescapable progressions into the future.
There are times we face it squarely, and times we shy away timidly.
Times we feel transcendent and times we hit below the belt.
Times we have a variety of choices and times we're limited.
Times we feel so energized and times we feel very worn out.
Times we paid much attention and times we looked unconcerned.
Times we feel accepted and times we felt rejected.
Times our sense of judgements were accurate and times we aired.
Times we were lucky and times the odds didn't favour us.
Times we were heroes and times we were cowards.
Times we acted genuinely, and times we were fake.
Times we held on tight and times we hurriedly let go.
Times we laughed hysterically, and times we cried out our hearts.
Times we were inevitable, and times we were totally ignored.
Explore your full potentials,
For "Times have passed, times are here and times are ahead of us".
