Premium MemberWho Am I

Your thoughts go a long way in determining your future
Positive thinking will allow you to portray your life in a way that only you can picture
Negativity creates a journey to unhappiness along the way
Banish those thoughts and your life will flourish I have to say
We can all become the person that we dream of being
Decide who you are in your mind, then put it out there for the world to see
Form a picture of the life you wish to create, then follow through
Visualization is a tool you must use to become the ideal you
Even while sleeping your dreams can help you to see what you can become
To be successful with anything you want to achieve, you must make it fun
First and foremost you must believe in yourself for any chance of success
Show that you are confident and try to manage your stress
We all have a lot to offer to make this world a better place
When you truly figure out who you are inside, let it out for society to embrace

Premium MemberThe Scenes He Loves To Portray

When the sun has not yet reached its zenith,
this man I know
prefers to show the world he sees
depicting it when trees first don
their leafy garments.
He dips his brush into viridescent hues.
Strokes of emerald play upon his canvas
as the world waking up from dreariness
he lovingly and graciously portrays.

Gemstone dots of peridot and shades of jade
dance across his canvas,
bringing life to pastoral scenes of
landscapes of farmland
and of meadows.
Oh, what joy he takes in creating scenes
of life when it's again reborn.

Premium MemberA Day In May

If I should paint a day in May,
it must portray a distant time.
Young girl in sunlit garden's way,
her long skirt falls in folds sublime.

Her basket has been over-filled--
lilacs, roses, lavender rest
among blooms so secretly spilled
upon a day in May so blest.

Premium MemberThe Bitter Truth

This lovely fruit that clings to tree:
it beckons shyly, just to me.
Not an apple to pick, alas;
nor a fine pear--I almost pass.

But then a perfume fills the air,
almost too sweet for one to bear.
And so I pick this lovely fruit
and give to one in my pursuit.

She thought it beautiful, at first.
I wasn't ready for the worst.
The face she made was new to me,
her screaming fraught with witchery!

She threw the beastly thing at me,
and ran away: I watched her flee.
What smells so sweet but tastes so sour?
That, I now know, is lemon's power.

What a faux pas I had just made.
But it unmasked a grand charade.
As lemon and the girl portrayed
that which lies within and not displayed.

Premium MemberPortray

Charcoal gray clouds cover the sun
Could be raindrops today
Snuzzle in a warm sweater
Energy a change in weather's ray

A dampness laps at my notebook
Surrounds my rocking chair
Swirls of cool envelope the porch
Draping fall's presence there

Will it rain or soon pass on by
We need the rain I say
However the weather reveals itself
Delight in season portray

Poetry Shan'T Portray You

I could pen a thousand lines or maybe more
Solely to esteem the majestic skies
One million more, merely
To tell the tales about thine eyes

Upon every verse and hereafter
Thy beauty shall ever spring to life
Each word, a heart surrogating
As passions pulse ignites

Then, each in breath recital
In what ne're thoughts can entitle
Aught all of thy love of all days these
And still poetry shan’t near, to ever begin, to portray thee

Premium MemberBeauty's Portray

You are like that of the morning dew that freshens a spring time air.
Like that of a red rose to which blooms a fragrance of elegance.
Your spirit soars through my soul like a lone wolf on hunt.
Like that of the heavens I shine.
Shine with a smile three rivers wide.
That I have found one of heavens best.
All wraaped and made of the finest silks.
Her curves stretching from here to yonder.
As my heart, you have captured with kindness.
But alone, you are the finest.
I hope for many good times and loving you forever.
That each day will only bring us closer.
And one day, I will know thou kiss from thee.
That I may experience first hand, your beauty of love for thee.
