sepia portraits
litter my
floor
resurrected
dramas
of others lives
lie
etched
deep
in their eyes-
I listen..
unheard sighs
as
a voice
from
their distant
past
pleading..
release me
set me free
I'll
fill
in
the
missing
gaps
in
your
bloodline
genealogy

Perhaps for dinner you might try
A steak and veggie plate
Or some chicken wrapped in nori,
Such a treat to masticate!
At some eateries, the menus
Are creative as food gets,
Which is really a surprise because
The customers are pets.
San Francisco’s restaurant “Dogue”
And Manhattan’s “Judy Z’s”
Offer rawhide bones and cupcakes,
All with canine tastes to please.
Though I understand that owners
Love their dogs, I must admit
Fancy dog meals in a restaurant
Just seems inappropriate.

His pedigree
was his degree
Rhodes scholar selection
Yet once in the fray
he was easy prey ~
Mettle, reality assayed

In the annals of Rock History
The Beatles' pedigree --
Their decree
Let it Be
While the Stones
Are Rolling
Right off the track
They made the choice
To paint it black

"You do these things to shock me"
One of many absurdities
That mouth has hurled at me
While mine its lip is bit
Bred to holdfast like a pitbull.

Trump Will and Pedigree
Trump wanted to provide will with pedigree
And he did not find it in all debris
Along with his family genealogy
Showing they all had abnormal psychology
A bunch of bull we were starting to see.

He exists in the shade of the mandrake plant,
It is his only passion in this twisted world;
Face down in the dirt- drugged and delirious,
Does not care if he wakes up or who walks by;
Hey man, it is what it is, just keep walking.
Is he alive, better take his pulse, go away,
And in his hallucination, a giant with one eye;
Takes him up and away, to a high nasty place,
Who is he, who was he, of no consequence really;
His family tree is lost in a dream, forgotten.
He comes in and out of warped dreams horrific,
Tears and thoughts of suicide, maybe kill someone;
It seems like a real good idea, but he fights it,
Cause, hey, God hates a coward like him;
He used to play his music, once ..
Yeah, once upon a time, he had some pedigree . .

My true love brought him home to me,
This doggie with no pedigree.
His ears are long, his legs are short.
His dragging middle needs support.
His trusting eyes looked into mine
And I fell hard for this canine.
"He'll need a license, shots and such
But they shouldn't cost you very much."
I realized the reason he,
Had brought this little dog to me,
The doggie with no pedigree,
My true love wanted to be free.
His own dog he'd brought and he
Was shifting responsibility
For Jim by giving him to me.
"Good riddance", I said,"And fair trade too.
I'd rather have this dog than you."
I said these words, for now I knew,
That my true love was never true.
If he comes back another day,
I'll surely send him on his way.
But even should he plead for him
He can't have little doggie, Jim.
At last I've found a love that's true,
So I'm keeping him, now wouldn't you?

I never angled for a laugh
for being known as bickerstaffe,
an English clan devoid of fame,
an ordinary family name.
I mused, then through the ages cast
in hopes to find a storied past
and found my folks had expertise
in cultivating honey-bees.
I prize my humble pedigree
and praise the noble honey-bee
for all the sweetness that it brings
if I can just avoid those stings!

The day is as the day, once was before,
dealing with people, whom simply ignore.
The actual person, the inside, of the being,
not even considering, one's emotional feeling.
Them ready, to talk behind, trying to make fun,
while one is aware, and can't even really run.
Having to stand, or sit, just to bare, to then take,
as people, attack you, for your spirit, to then break.
Therefore, how strong, is one, to truly, endure,
the affliction, from those thinking that their pure.
Of those, refusing from, their heart, to then truly see,
because someone, doesn't necessarily fit, their pedigree.
