As twilight draped the wooded scene,
And the moon prepared to cast its gleam,
The sun dipped low, beyond the land,
And day surrendered to night's command.
In that tranquil hour, I paused to hear,
The melodies of birds, so sweet and clear.
The trees whispered secrets to the breeze,
As reptiles slithered home, with quiet ease.
