Enchanted Forest Pea

As twilight draped the wooded scene, And the moon prepared to cast its gleam, The sun dipped low, beyond the land, And day surrendered to night's command. In that tranquil hour, I paused to hear, The melodies of birds, so sweet and clear. The trees whispered secrets to the breeze, As reptiles slithered home, with quiet ease. All creatures of the wild sought their reprieve, Save for one, in yellow-green plumage, he grieved. Alone he stood, a sight so rare, A flightless parrot, with a desperate prayer. "Hey, humankind," he whispered soft, "I am the last of my kind, the world has lost. Save me from the struggles of this jungle's plight, My name is Kakapo, a guardian of the night. I need your aid, your heart to share, For in your hands, my fate's declared. Together, we can ensure my legacy, Preserving the magic of the enchanted tree." Humbled by his plea, I vowed to stand, Beside the Kakapo, our fates now planned. In unity, we'll fight to save his kind, Protecting the wonders of the forest, intertwined.

A beautiful touching poem of the fragility of our environment and our responsibilities. A well-penned message :-)
