Sunrise all the world
But sunrise over the sea
Brings unique surprise.
An outing near SF Bay to a baseball game might ease my pain,
But a trip to the sandy beaches of the PACIFIC OCEAN is not the same.
You could see it in our eyes beneath the sunny western skies.
Those happy kids and I always had a notion and with dedicated devotion,
Our swift and happy feet took us to play in the park and go to the OCEAN.
To be drawn like magic,
There is no substitute.
Some experiences have no logic,
Like dropping to land by parachute.
So many years ago; seems like yesterday.
Like I, in childhood, playing in the hay.
Children flying kites in a city park,
Making memories falling on the sand,
Followed by sites of rushing OCEAN waves.
How does one say goodbye to the OCEAN, to the sea?
Her waters cover most of the planet, wanting us to see.
What could be better than a day with PamPam and CJay?
Or fog horn sounds in early mornings as darkness fades?
Or 'put me to sleep OCEAN sounds' so peaceful and soothing?
An outing near the SF Bay to the baseball game might ease my pain,
But a trip to the sandy beach of the PACIFIC OCEAN is not the same.
All of us without exception laughed:
On the Pacific Ocean a raft!
Why would one big waters dare with craft
And hope to make it without witchcraft?
All the big lips in the small room laughed:
One saw a snake's fangs and cold beer quaffed!
A nice tale but the teller just daft,
My cash not leaving my pocket's baft.
Beautiful water
Calm like the heavenly light
Beautiful waves
The Pacific ocean presently has floating waste
twice the size of the United States.
There is an island
In the Pacific ocean
Surrounded by blues
In various motions
The blue of the water
Reflects from the sky
Turquoise and dark
Either makes me sigh
With mountains of lush green
In sloping canvas
Varieties aplenty
Trees and grasses
Species so different
Grace this land
Where they have thrived for years
As it has never been manned
Golden beaches
Glitter her coast
Where the blue waves caress
Its where i sigh the most
Coconut palm trees
Figs, berries and roots
In glorious harvest
Natures fine fruits
Please close your eyes
And join me there
As you open your eyes
All you can do is stare
Where is this island
Do you all want to hear
Its in the Pacific Ocean
Oh how i wish i was near
http://www.thehighlanderspoems.com/nature-6.php
i wish i could swim the pacific ocean and back.
and when i came back to sit in front of a burning burning fire
until it dried me to the bone.
and for my skeleton to be hung above your bed
to act as a catcher of your night terrors
and it would work
because you would know that i was magical.
because i swam the whole pacific ocean and back.
for you.
