I know you wish for a place to be,
hidden in the mist, silent as the sea.
No fear, no hope, no questions asked.
where the nights are not heavy
and darkness don't last.
could you trade this place
For your favourite song?
the throbbing of your heart
as you run towards the dawn.
The echo of your name cut through the trees
you run out of breath
But your legs still keep,
Running.
You keep running-
and then you run into the night.
past your mother's flowers
the wet clothes in a line.
They brush against your face,
the water slips-
it leaves a cold stain,
enough to melt your lips.
the concrete floor pulls you back
"stop running", it says
take it all in, take all that you have.
I know it overflows, overstays, overloads
but without it, aren't we nothing?
and nothing is what's left.
Transient home full of visitors!
A highway flooded by travellers!
A major platform staged by performers!
Nobody owns it
Nobody overstays their welcome
It is the "No man's Life"
Just do your best, make the most of it with little or no regrets!!!!
The first stop i get to i’ll break
But first off It’s time and I’m late
Gotta catch it quick before it goes
A lotta overstays and told ya so’s
Right or wrong and I’m even scared
Tryin to fight em off or just leave it there
You’ll never get that chance again
The weather’s fast and closin in
The tide is up i gotta leave
All the fighting done is auto speed
There’s another lap movin in space
All that’s moving down here is fate
Black or white is turning gray
Back at life is churning waste
Dark times have risen to the fray
Hard lines have chiseled their clay
In this land of make believe
Seers see and singers sing
I tried to hit my mark with open wings
It’s raining hard and hard to see
Sometimes time is all you can take
So here’s to that fall you cant fake
Life’s on overdrive I can’t hit the brake
The first stop i get to I’ll break.
Lingering its wicked spell
The summer heat wave
Overstays its welcome
Bidding a long overdue adieu
When finally heaven sent
That first raindrop
Splatters on my face

Everyday we are blessed.
To wake up from, a full night's rest.
We should thank, the man upstairs.
For giving us a life, with many cares.
We should live, like we would in heaven.
With golden Gates, and Angels flying.
Stress wouldn't exist, to age us all.
Leading to drugs, and drinking alcohol.
A heaven where, there is no such thing.
As different color, and people judging.
It's not our place, as the human race.
To be selfish, and act as God himself.
Instead of hating, bringing spirits down.
We should be lifting up, with happiness all around.
It's part of life, to make mistakes.
Learn from them, don't repeat again.
Don't let the devil win, once he's in.
He overstays his welcome, and will
Take you to straight to hell.
Give thanks for the life, you were intentionally given.
And remember to act, as if we lived in heaven.
Sadness settles sometimes and drapes itself
Around my shoulders like a grey blanket
Weighs me down
It’s a well acquainted killjoy
An unwelcome and uninvited guest
Who overstays his welcome
Will I ever see the colours again?
It’s hard to believe
The picture’s all in grayscale now
Should I cry yet again like many times before
Where tears fall and follow familiar furrows?
Should I scream or should I pray or should I tell a friend?
Would it help I wonder?
I’ll try to smile behind this burden
Till beneath its weight I buckle
And with a feeble voice confess
That I’m buggered beyond belief
You return again
In perfect timing -
A beacon.
Such arrogance you portray
Matching a red diner dress -
A fatal ego killer.
So small…
Yet a monster -
A mountain of rage.
Builds inside me
Sitting there in all your glory
Starring right through me.
Oh humbling blemish -
Who never comes on a Saturday
When I can hide.
The visitor that overstays
His welcome -
Now in my mirror.
