The pale half-moon,
like a swag of sheerest organdy,
adorns the sky...
an ornamental drape
on an ethereal window.

I've bought a whole pound of Red-Hot Candy
If you'd share it with me, would be handy
I'd offer a chocolate bar
But my thoughts have gone ajar
Seeing you draped in curtains organdy

Though you may stand amongst a crowd it's only you I see
Though you may sit across the aisle near you my soul doth be
Though you may sing amongst a group it's only you I hear
Though you may live across the town your presence is still near
And when I know I'll be seeing you I've kerwollops in my heart
And when you walk into the room my breath it doth depart

What a dream
it was that done
in silk or organdy
as light as the wind ...
What a shower of poetry
had you to rain,
when you inebriated
in clerical verses ...
when you painted the
soul of the pages in
white and pallor
borrowed from the moon...?
Why didn't you come in
in my world with
the ethereal clothing that
I gave you ...?
Not linen or voile,
but dream silk ...
didn't you realize
who loved you?
oh! I still love you
girl ... how do you
I still love ...!

I remember organdy curtains swaying
Over our old double bed,
Made up with sheets fresh from the line,
Full of the perfumes of fresh air and ivory.
I remember the puff pillows, a wedding present,
White with cases like the sheets where
I laid my head close to your own
When we decided to sleep.
I remember the little clock radio,
Its news starting your day,
I made you a cup of coffee and eggs
And sent you on your way.
You, you left me with my solitude,
Filled with memories of the night.
Of organdy curtains swaying;
But it was all about the sheets.

Mysterious Breezes and Winds
Consider the breezes and how they blow
Organdy curtains across a lover’s bed;
The brush of air conditioning on a working head;
A chiffon dress fluttering with the breeze of ballroom dancers,
The whispering kind keeping insects afloat.
And blowing pages of a book one by one.
A wind rattling windows
Before a cool summer rain.
What is the soft breeze that pleases you?
Breezes of the sea on a bather’s nap.
The wave and rhythm in summer trees.
Consider wind and breezes where they go.

Breezes
Consider little breezes and how they blow;
Organdy curtains cross a spring night bed;
The brush from an air conditioning vent
On a heated working head.
Chiffon dresses flutter their way,
With the stir of ballroom dancers;
Whispering kind keeping insects a bay,
While the pages of a book are pressed.
Breeze of blue sea on a bather’s nap;
Wave and rhythm in summer trees;
What soft breeze would please your heart?
Consider the breezes ‘ere into winds they grow.

My organdy dancer
Aquarian child
Is always in fashion
Lights sweet flames of passion
When she dances for me
My crinoline princess
Has sensuous moves
That nothing conceals
And yet only reveals
What she wants me to see
My velveteen beauty
Seductress of dreams
Dances through my delusions
To the perfect illussions
That I want her to be

The golden sun at first hidden
By fog's silver organdy.
As clouds rise slowly in the east
A warm spring do foresee
The fog's silver shawl floats lightly
Coating hill, dale, and green
Its coat a damp cool wrap chilling
Even the birds that sing
A Dove's chilly coo, a Sparrow's
Damp reply, warms the morn
While the sun rises much higher
Its yellow sky adorns

Italian olive leaves metamorphoses now
Into exotic flowers beautiful burgundy
While another sycamore's exotic honey boughs
Reflects its gold from mirrowed glass organdy
Until the acorn spice tumble and fall from zephyr windy
