Premium Membercandy canes danced off the shelf

on Tuesday the candy canes danced off the shelf
I almost got run over by a screaming running elf.
Where is the head baker? He asked without apology.
Watch where you are going! I yelped to that arrogant he.

Then I saw something horrific for myself.
Those striped candy canes had all danced off the shelf.
They were doing the tango, and macarena too.
I almost crunched two of them with my left shoe.

Where is Santa? I yelled as I left Candy Cane hall.
Candy canes are going wild, their personalities so tall!
Some of them followed me out the door which I forgot to shut.
Santa chastised me for this, when I finally reached his hut.

Premium MemberElf Off the Shelf

The Elf on the Shelf gets fired
   for his unwise behavior.
      Now he’s out for revenge.

ELF OFF THE SHELF

The elf he got sacked so he decides
on Christmas Eve he’s justified
to catch all the gifts
because of the rift
but Santa does pin him underside

Premium MemberTake the Elf Off the Shelf

You must immediately take that elf off the shelf!
But why? The shopkeeper asked. What’s the reason?
Because he my most productive candle selling elf
And it is the Black Friday slash Christmas season.

Premium MemberWords Prance Off the Shelf

Words prance off shelves
and hit me in the head
Trying to land in my mouth

Little do they know my mouth cannot use them
My mouth is afraid
of the wrath of others

But my fingers can use them
Will type them up quickly
and make them a poem

Still they try for my mouth
Trying to make it “man” up
but it clamps itself shut more tightly than ever

Fearful of the wrath of others
Try for my hands I want to scream at them
as words prance off shelves, landing on my shoulders

One Day I Fell Off the Shelf

one day,
I fell off the shelf,
broke into many pieces,
hands swept me away
and dumped me into a
plastic garbage bin
to be picked up by
a refuge truck on
Friday and delivered
for burial at the
junkheap of abandoned
hearts where cries are
not heard

Off the Shelf Solutions

Some solutions are better left on the shelf,
Even when we have turned into an elf,
If you have interest in the health of yourself.

It may be better to stay clear of the shelf,
If you want to continue thinking for yourself,
And you should never listen to an elf.

Shopping for ideas is not in the interest of good health,
As freedom to think for oneself is often lost to stealth,
That can reduce the need to open your mouth.

Fear of opening your mouth,
Is not in the interest of good health,
So, we should avoid going down that path.

Freedom to think,
Depends on fresh ink,
Not standing on the brink,

If you want new ideas to bank,
You should look to a think tank,
If you want to highly rank.

So, before you take a solution off the shelf,
Try thinking for yourself,
Instead of listening to an elf.

Get Off the Shelf

Behold I'm coming quickly the end is very near
The signs of my returning are making themselves clear
My intention's never been for you to sit on the shelf
I have chosen you to be an example of myself
If you truly love me help me spread the word
Before my Father's had enough and the trumpet sound is heard
I need for you to understand the clock is ticking fast
Stop wasting time arguing who will be first or last
The most important thing right now is seek my face and pray
Then I will lead you every step along the narrow way
When I tell you to do something if you don't do what I ask
I will find someone who takes joy in the task
Of sharing with a dying world I AM the only way
Great will be their reward on that judgement day

Off the Shelf

One fine day someone
came into the store
and took us off the shelf,
they threw their money down,

we were tossed into a bag,
so dark was it in there,
suddenly we heard lots
of people talking,

we were inside a smoked
filled room, this man pulled
us out of the bag, he then
opened our package we
were in, took us out,

he threw us onto
        the table, after
placing money there
"darn it, he said,
I rolled snake eyes".

He was so mad, he threw
us in the wastebasket
and not the table again,
so that was where,

we stayed until the
next day, when some
kind person took us
out and said,"Hey!
I found me some dice,"

So that's what we are!

I Took Emerson Off the Shelf

“For it is not metres, but a metre-making argument that makes a poem--a
thought so passionate and alive that like the spirit of a plant or an
animal it has an architecture of its own”- Emerson

Your smile is selfish and sensual;
A poet, with Apollo’s privilege,
Dressed in the loneliness of civility
Where is the fire, the flame,
The grab for passion,
That goes beyond the fame
Of a painted world.

Show me how the greening earth makes you feel,
How the curdled fields of winter
Light your dreams; show me these things,
Before a fairy fire, so I know
You are more alive, than you seem.
