The faintest rumble in the East
Droplets; barely noticeable
Did you hear that?
Must have imagined it
Anyway, not intrusive enough to spoil our most important of conversations...
The Economy is thriving, the housing market is back to boom levels!
How disconnected
How terribly disconnected
Then, the distant Thunderclap
Did you hear that?
What? I dont think I heard anything
Oh wait! I see it now...
But it's far, far away
Cant affect us!
Then, the skies over Lombardy and the unfriendly states darken
Now, we see the sweated, furrowed brows...
The rain falling.
Slight. Distant, but in sight
Intrusive now!
But we know these places! Centres of Haute Couture...nothing bad could ever happen there!
Hold on...
It moves closer?
How...?
Now its amongst us. Growing, feeding, an exponential maw of unending hunger
An appetite that wont be sated
Its upon us now
Its upon all of us now...
History doesnt stop.
We are living it
All is to transmogrify,
All will be new, and strange
An unthinkable unutterably terrible change...

Turbans in a short hat? Never. No that's right never. It is the will of the integral self to be employed only by one's belief in flow and source is not sauce so don't raise your hat to an irate bun. Balmy bewildering belligerent buffalo. Er no not a buffalo. In fact it is the antics of a stick insect. Interrupted is not intrusive it is inspiring. Creatively calming chaps could change clams. And the big fish laughs ho ho ho. Xxxx irrigation irrigating igniting ignorance. Ha. Yes lots of hahahaha and several billion xxxxxxxxxxxxx and waltz. Good. Great isn't it. Wow. Exciting. Wonderful. Haven having heaps. Fantastic. Be not a pin be a staple. Xxxxx haha haha haha. Xxxxx unconditional x p y q with a ! And a z z z entomologist.

I'm not intrusive, thereby save
or inconclusive, there be rave
my thoughts trustworthy merit praise
but on those foul days, Lord be craved!
The mild assumption I discuss
but to oneself, the talking's best
and then decipher what I meant
are these my prayers ~ am I this bent?
A meager soul's sport, not revere
sincerity my only mirror
this new encumbrance must be fear
not to endanger self, must clear!
It is my only value here
a blessed life must engineer
as with God willing, give a cheer
adversity you clown, ram steer!

SOFT DEPARTURE
I can be so gentle
I can be so soothing
When I come to help.
I am not intrusive or malicious
I am here with love and kindness
I am mysterious.
However it does happen that I am deceitfully used
That is why I am feared.
Evil people have used me for vengeance
Or used me to threaten others for gain
I have also been used as an excuse to rule.
I am the right hand of God
I help him to bring back into the fold lost souls.
You cannot come to me
But I will call for you when the time is right.
I make your transition so easy, so banal
That you realise how stupid you were
To have been frightened of me.
I am not ugly.
I do not hurt.
I am Death.
When I come, you will find peace
I will shield you from
The chaos of life
I will put an end to your physical pain
And I will let you rest undisturbed for
Eternity.

One person who has stayed true blue
throughout all phases of my life
is the lovely lady, just a girl,
when I became her brother’s wife.
For more years than I will divulge
she has brought comfort to my soul.
Through births and deaths she has been there
in always kind, supporting role.
We shared the loss of her brother,
my loved husband who died too young,
before his story had been told
or his last song had been sung.
We clung together through the loss
of her young son and then my own.
With her siblings and husband dead
she could be facing life alone.
But she has claimed my loved daughters
and dear grandchildren as her own.
No sad or happy date goes by
but what she remembers to phone.
She has traveled to their weddings,
and with them their history shares.
She’s not intrusive, is involved
enough to show their auntie cares.
When young she had great beauty
and she is still dipped in glory,
in iridescence if you please
as I tell you in this story.
