On a whim, to prove once and for all
I took a beach ball
and placed on it a glass of water—
Please hold your laughter—
And then rolled the ball over,
Do you think the glass stayed put?
Even though it should!
Voila! It spilled the water all over.
That conclusively, demonstrably and logically proves
World is NOT round. It’s FLAT.
Otherwise, all the waters of the seas, rivers, lakes
would spill over
And make the skies all soaking wet;
You’ll have the fishes and crabs
falling from the sky!
And the world is going nowhere—
You see the same sun, same moon, same stars,
day in and day out;
The world doesn’t revolve,
It’s stationary. It’s pinned to the sky!
Otherwise, I would have long thrown up,
I suffer from motion sickness, you see.
There, I proved it!

Anne Dickins
Anne was an endurance cyclist,
But in 2011 she ruptured her back,
Which meant that she did enlist,
Cauda equine syndrome, her yack.
A physiotherapist cool by profession,
And a Games Maker in London 2012,
Anne was offered good instruction,
In canoeing by Colin Radmore, wealth.
Although she suffered seasickness,
Anne took motion sickness lessons,
Normally for fighter pilots skill, duress,
Which meant she overcame sessions.
In 2014 at the ICF Worlds in Moscow,
She won the gold for the 200 metres,
And in 2015, Milan, a silver did follow,
Then 2016 at the Worlds, gold litres.
She was born on the 20th February,
In 1967, so she has much experience;
She won the gold in Rio’s hot country,
In the KL3 class of her convergence.

i take pills for minor headaches
pills for major anxiety
if you've looked out at the world today
then you know i take a lot of these
i take a pill to help with hair growth
i take a pill for my allergies
with the pollutants that are floating in the air
i sometimes find it hard to breath
i take a pill when i need to sleep
another when i need to wake up
the one that i use to sleep with
i take sometimes when times get rough
i take a pill when i get angry
a special one that calms me down
it takes me to a better place
to the very center of happy town
a pill to help with motion sickness
when my world begins to sway
fish oil pills to help with blood flow
plus garlic...to keep the vampires away
i take a pill when i eat something spicy
a pill that helps with gas
a pill when i'm feeling in the mood
that helps the mood to last
i take a pill if i ever forget
to ever take a pill
and if i forget to take the second one
i take two more to relieve my guilt
i guess you get the idea
if not this poem is nil
so i'll just put down my purple nexium pen
and go take another pill

The Grand Canyon_what a sight
Aerial view a delight
Six passenger plane
Over the canyon strains
Into barf bag said Last Rites
Inspired by Carolyn Devonshire's contest about vacations
Not an entry
About twenty-five years ago, we went to the Grand Canyon
and during the short stay decided to go on an airplane ride
over the canyon to get a bird's eye view. I get motion sickness
but it started off great. I go piece of cake, I can do this then
we hit the turbulance over the canyon and I sat with a barf
bag the whole trip..The airplane would shake, the engine
sounded strained, and then it would drop and I would be
in mid-air held by a seatbelt..My husband was going to
film the whole trip for the future but when we hit the first
pocket of turbulance he dropped the camera and filmed
the underside of the pilots seat for 20 minutes..

If I'd known, I would live to this age
I'd taken better care of me
Times when I walk, my hip croaks
At once my knee slips~ cracks
It has its own flack
Then my neck pops
Down I flop
Saying
Heck
I
Decide
It is time
Death could visit
Need a bucket list
A trip to Oregon first
No! Mark that off~Can't do that
I suffer from motion sickness
That barf bag would ruin the whole day

IN A STATE OF HYPERDIMWITTEDNESS SPREAD OUT FROM THE DARK ABYSS
SO I CHILL
MOTION SICKNESS HYPERTHORMAL SO I GOT A COLD
STRANDED BETWEEN TWO NEGATIVE PULLS
THREADED IN A BEAM OF LIGHT
SO I FIGHT
BRANDED SCARED AND WIRED TO THE MAX
SO I LAY ON MY BACK
DISSAPAITING ANTICIPATING NEVER RELAXATING
PUTTS ME IN THE MIND OF STUPIDITY
HI YALL MY NAME IS AUTRY
I THINK I AM A POET
MAYBE I JUST DONT KNOW IT
BUT AS FAR AS I CAN SEE VERY LITTLE
SPACE CRUSHED MIND MUSH
SO I HUSH

The world spins
Faster than a Ferris wheel
Quick quick quick
To make a young girl squeal
3rd rock from the sun
Isn't steady, but sure can be fun
Quick quick quick
The cloud images become moving pictures
Free entertainment
But
Vomitting has yet to begun
At the pace of the man on the street
Yelling obscenities
And waving a gun
Nope, that's not fun
Not at all

Painted streets, black as pitch…white shadows dance.
Expecting the indigenous sound to fade into the black.
It’s the same sound, the crack comes from within.
The sweetness turns bitter, her voice recorded.
Motion sickness, vomiting, and chunks left behind.
Screaming turns to screeching, lips turn blue…
Throat bleeds the corruption of the heart.
Wet, cold, meat. Bowing, not kneeling.
Trust is lost in the promise, trust is lost in the smile.
There is not trust here, there is no smiling…
