Misunderstandings Poems

Misunderstandings

I had a lot of time to think. If you ask what about; the list consists of a few page…. Is there really anything that I can say, that’ll make you want to return my call or send a hay?
See that’s for horses and it’s been a ride. I’ve finally

The experts were angry at first, but by the time they thought to invite me to the party all three were livid.
Three men were backed up on three walls, bodies crossed, minds set, angry faces, helping not a bit.
I took a deep breath, knowing it would be a hundred times easier if I made them

This-
This tableau of
Mental images, of
Fixed scenes, this
“Battle of Egos” is
Relentlessly looping
In my mind.

An annual gathering of kith and kin
Created a backdrop of statue-like characters
Blindly unaware of a
Crisis stirring.

Off to the side, there are the mothers,
Pillars of love for their sons,
Paralyzed with the knowledge that they are helpless,
Helpless as they watch
The conflict unfolding.

There-
There are

Misunderstandings

She was a sophomore who wanted to be liked by everyone.
Yet, she was good at putting a facade of a confident person.
She cared and loved those around her who hurt.
Inside though, she was in so much pain from depression.

He was a senior who couldn't care less about his reputation.
Many things had happened that

Misunderstandings

They said I was young, they said I was foolish
As I made many mistakes of all types
They misunderstood; I was taking those risks
To find some purpose in my life

They said I was strong for succeeding in life
And never being mentally frail
They misunderstood; I worked my hardest
To make sure I would never fail

They said

Mishaps and Misunderstandings

"Never once had he felt so bad."
The man told his good friend
"I don't know what happened, I'm sad"
His friend thought he had seen the end

What happened then, that night before
He had been talking to someone else
But after the fact his friend made him sore
He wanted him all to himself

No bad intentions, no leading on
It's not

Misunderstandings

Don't smell me through ambushing ears
Don't listen to me with glaring eyes
Don't look at me in that tone of voice
Don't taste me with such rash fingers
Don't touch me with an insensitive mind
Don't perceive me through a shriveled nose

Because these sensations
Lead to effortless interpretations
