Premium MemberA Morning In Miniature

Carpet patterns
and the swirlings of grain
in wooden floors were maps
to me of exotic worlds,
portal holes for a child
to enter and explore
places edged on the
furthest reaches
of the fabulous.

Even today, as an old man,
I saw a landscape
in miniature when morning sunlight
came through the window
and crept across
the room, illuminating a map
in the knots and welts of grain
rolled out on the pinewood floor.

I found myself off on tour
swept into the detail
along its ravines
and imagined trails,
into its wild inland,
the unfenced territories whose
vast subterranean caves
well far below what
can be seen, the dank
dormitories of dream.

And then,
above the underworld,
dry plains paused
by rocky outcrops
of doubt, the long silences
that stretch for miles
and curl up in corners
when evening falls.
The star pitted dark hung
with mystery, morse
for the mystic,

until a sober perspective
shrank the sublime
back into a smaller space
to fit ordinary sight
and became
the comforting familiarity
of a well trodden
wooden floor, aged, uneven,
basking in the morning's
honeyed light.

Premium MemberMy Miniature Odyssey

Some days I just wanted to tread muted waves
not knowing whether
what grazed my leg was a porgy,
or a Leviathan reaching out to me from the gradient depths.

The paranoia kept me afloat,
the fear drove me to swim to shore.
When I made it back to the sand,
I chose not to live as I did before.

Walking away, I looked back at the dunes, gray and dulled,
yet the sun cloaked the sky in an orange nightgown.
The ocean smiled that evening,
a pearly white grin born from the descending gleam.

From what I saw in the horizon
in the sheen, dimensions were torn from the seams.
the sea’s teeth melted away,
its dentures rotted into a violent green.

A craterous head, so alien, so organic
crowned with mesopelagic knickknacks.
Phosphorescent eyes surrounding its gelatinous skull
poked out of the boiling cauldron that was the Atlantic.

Its behemoth sized hand, with fingers gnarled and gangly
erupting so fast!
Contrasting the married sky of lavender and apricot
Levi, then gently waved me goodbye.

Dear one where have you been,I missed you so

Come here, what can I say to make you stay

Why would you go when love is so near

Pray leave the past , your love can fill this void

Come let us dance in step, close up once more

A hug, a kiss, hold me, tell me you're mine

Let us wed, wear my ring, make this heart sing

School Days :: Miniature Verse

Seen a lot of shun, detest
none gave him support
throughout childhood in school days.
Discarded with snort
by many, stating can't do;
for him 'twas mental wound.
Never told, why he can't do,
What's lacked, he never found;
Not informed what was defect
and what to do to correct.

He was not like his class mates.
Does worth gets judged by
money power? His dad couldn’t
afford fund for high
school. But he was happy with
what dad gave. Unable
to afford is not his fault.
Hoped they must be able
to judge the performance based
on score, not how parents placed.

Miniature Products

Miniature products as give aways
Would you really want them I say
If you buy $30 of groceries
When you collect them as you please

And in the future the question they will ask
What the hell are these and what was their task
Some scientist will come up with a story
That will bask it in its days of glory.

Miniature Microphone In the Phones

i once was courageously brave
unaware and dark with a gaping young heart
it intensely told me, I could be fearlessly bold
and write inflicting lyrics that could change the whole world
well, I didn't believe it of course

until they kept senselessly disappearing
and someone on the radio
was singing my songs (lyrics)
a country star, then a rapper,
then, and then,
until someone vehemently put me in the local hospital
for six days and nights, of five I was unconscious
then I believed that I could write a change

talking about fear and confusing (confusion)
how did they know about me
i never gave my songs to anyone
and no one every gave me a dime...
or a penny

In my hand
A small tome,
Words most grand
Take me home.

Small yet deep
My best friend,
Thought winds steep
Seed most grand.

In a while
Feel clear zest,
Words can style
Smile and fest.

This small book
Speaks of wealth,
Peek and look
Jazz knows health.

A short take
Moves so much,
Make a break
In prompt touch.

A rare find
Comes to heal,
Peace of mind
Moves fond feel.

Gratitude
Moves dear heart,
Attitude
Streams clear start.

The Miniature Airborne Lamps

Winking on before the stars
These little airborne lamps
Endowed my neighbourhood
As my wide grey eyes feel good

I must stop and stare
As electric insects appear
No one can take this view from me
As long as my eyes can see

Dancing in their flights
Guided by several lights
Every dawn must die
As they skillfully fly

From the beetle family
With a light-based vocabulary
Giving a lovely glow
And a call and response show

See their lower abdomen
Several lights for men
Yellow, green and orange light
Chasing out darkness at night

Observe the cold light
Has it any heat?
Very few ultraviolet rays
Useful in many ways

O! miniature lightening bugs
Let scientist give you hugs
For they've learnt from thee
As we all could see

Thomas Edison became envious
Is his bulb a match for yours?
Heavy electric bills today
Firefly, I need thy ray

Have you ever seen a firefly? If you haven't, please strive to see in their darkness flight.I advise you check your electric bills today and think of what these small creatures can offer.

Miniature Dachshund

Small and mighty,little and proud
One of the weeniest doggies around
but don't let size fool you, you're in for a treat
I am one of the bravest and loyalest you'll meet

The comical clown who just loves to play
I'll take no time to train if you show me the way
I'll play with your slippers, and sleep on your bed
and then when you're sleeping, lick your face, neck and head.

some say I am yappy but i swear its all rumors
My sharp high-pitched bark is just meant for intruders
I'll roll on my back and let you rub my tummy
I'll do anything for a small treat, if its yummy

potty training can take a while they say
but remember that Rome wasn't built in a day.
oh and dogs can be gassy so please beg my pardon
and I may dig the occasional hole in the garden

But if you're looking to take on a new life long friend
and you promise to care for me right to the end
you don't need to search far or start looking around
choose the 'doxie', the dachshund, the 'sausage dog' hound!

Miniature Gardens Part 4: End

Come on, come on,
Come out from there.
I promise to be here, near here, close to here,
For as long as you are here.

If I can cure your loneliness this way,
I will stay with you throughout your day,
And for more than an eternity for us,
So don't cry, my sun ray.

Don't cry.....
For as long as possible.....

Miniature Gardens Part 3: Regrets

How should I act? It's so hard to take back something,
You loved but had lost once.
I tasted, I knew that once, the once and a lifetime,
Will I really...be able to turn back to something...

Something that was obviously in that time?
I was too weak to tell her anything.
Everything she told me, but received nothing back,
It remains even now and keeps on adding......

Even if it rains,
The moon is bright.
I don't get it,
It's already night.

I don't have the strength to stand,
My legs are too heavy to bend.
I don't understand,
As I hear sounds of the end.....

It's over.....
Together.......

Miniature Gardens Part 2: Memories

The flashback was like a revolving lantern to me,
My hands shook because of the blood,
My legs because of the cold.
I wanted to hold onto those warm memories before they aged.

I don't remember how much I dreamed of you,
Dreaming of the cross of swords, hurt or hurting, or painting my heart with hatred,
As well as I've remembered with anger, but I can't forget your smile,
"When did I become so weak?" I think as I lay in the mud.

To be honest, there was some sort of wall between us when we became allies,
But that smile held the wall away, but we were too late,
And when our alliance came to an end, the wall grew weaker,
And I couldn't stand in front of it, this was fate.

I tell you "Because it has ended,"
But you can't take that answer.
"It was like a bright lantern, right?
Wasn't it enough for us to take the pressure?"

I, the man, was shaking from her facial expressions,
It showed all the hatred towards those precious memories that made us enemies,
Yes, I were weak, and I admit, I wanted to tell you so badly,
I wasn't enough, I couldn't keep the memories.
