Be Merry and the world opens
Be sad and the door closes
Why see rain clouds and despair
Rain is needed and cleans the air
Be bold in living it is only once
Be shy and dreams fade away
So you are disappointed but you try
Keep trying and suddenly you will fly
Be grateful for being who you are
Be critical of yourself leads to self hate
There is only one you and that is a fact
Someone loves you because of that.
Like a Merry-go-Round
While we all keep spinning
Does our circle of life
Have a way to get off?
hear the sound
found a way
stand on ground
earthbound stay
no playground
In the 1970’s, merry mushroom canisters were offered by Sears Roebuck
Many of us put them into our wish lists, along with a sponge-holding duck later I learned that mushrooms meant pot, but at first I did not know
I cherished these canisters for their earthy whimsy; I truly loved them so….
Come be merry
on the streets of the French quarter.
Come be merry,
plum liqueur and praline whiskey.
We’re the oldest brick and mortar,
drink and have an appetizer.
Come be merry.
The old soul isn’t the same of King Cole’s
The old soul is the growing indifference
Past obediences turn to resistance
Which the merry old soul never shows
The old soul is a room of the old sorrows
A portrait gallery of the passed away
The old soul is a candle that burns night and day
The old soul doesn’t speak of tomorrows
But the thing is that nobody really cares
So does the old soul in its turn
It’s a parallel world of nobody’s concern
You won’t notice when you will get there.
I stand, where paths diverge,
With merry Andrew, years’ faithful surge.
The Creator’s hand, a craftsman’s embrace,
Yet dreamscapes falter, bound by time’s
Trace.
At tri-junction, like a gazelle carved in grace,
Amid ancient trees, a sanctified space,
Rooted, seeking signs yet unseen,
The road ahead-a riddle,
Serene.
Branches murmur, leaves weave lore,
Tales of renewal, of hearts once torn.
Choices beckon-left’s holds the known, paths,
Right reveals a frontier, where wild seeds
Are sown
Complement of the season
Christ the reason
Love the rhythm of the season
Songs of ecstacy
As we all sing joyfully aloud
Feliz navidad
A song we all like dancing to.
Alot of merriment
Enough to eat and drink
As we party hard
Smile on everyone's faces
As we converse within us
Things that merry the heart.
Jubilations
Not tribulations
Contribution to each other's joy
Not contradicting the story
As we share our testimonies
It was a showering of unconditional love.
24.12.2024
It would have been our first Christmas and New Year.
When we could enjoy the silent night and fire work together,
It would also mark our one year of friendship.
A simple, pure and full of fun relationship.
That was how I wished,
But it was not what you wanted.
So, you had to call it a quit,
Without doing any possible bit.
Simply, you just alienated me,
Ceased all contact in person and via messages.
Please do not push me any further,
I worked well under pressure.
I have already done some arts involving you,
The works seemed amazing to many,
Somehow, you would not agree.
That was how typical you were.
I am waiting ready to marry,
My love there for you to embody,
It's just begging for you to carry,
So just shun that busybody.
Come! Let's just merry,
I love you just come.
[The first 5-lines is an excerpt from my poem, "Your vase filled my vase with love" (2024)]. The sixth line was formed by taking a word per line from the first 5 lines.
All day is snowing,
Santa is coming,
What a good winter season.
Parents are merriness,
Babies are in happiness,
They jumps to the sky any reason.
Happy Merry Christmas!
Father coming from shifts,
Brought a lot of gifts,
A big holiday in Your house.
The brother is happy,
The sister is happy,
Your Mom is happy twice.
Happy Merry Christmas!
When the sky is bright blue,
The dreams are coming true,
Let there be peace on the land!
Let's singing and dance,
In a year just one chance,
Merry Christmas is our brand.
Happy Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all,
And to all a good night.
Do you suppose the monkey knows?
He has ten fingers and ten toes.
He has a brain inside his cranium,
If you ask me, that ain't so dumb.
Do you suppose the monkey knows?
Merry Christmas from Monkeyland,
from ten fingers on two hands.
In addition to all those,
Season's Greetings from ten toes.
Have a New Year, hearty and hale
from my prehensile tail...
.... .... ....
Happy New Year's from my smart brain,
which my brainpan doth contain.
That, my friend, is just a start.
I wish you love from my four-chambered heart.
Do you suppose the monkey knows
He's not wearing any clothes?
The world sings Your praise
Says You were born in a stable
To where a bright star showed the way
To wanderers of the desert
They sing carols and make new ones
Year after year every Christmas
All that is nice and sweet to hear
But Lord I have another reason
To sing out aloud
The greatness of Yours
I am no Christian by birth
Neither have I lent my ears
To missionaries who preach
And invite the world to their feuding folds
My country had a leader
Whom Your life influenced
And he put what he knew of You into practice
To free us from perilous bondage
Made us truly recognize
How You chimed with our ancient nascence
He is the Father Of Our Nation
None else in the world I think
Had the strong conviction he had
That Your teachings can be PRACTISED
My country therefore owes a lot
To You, Jesus Christ,
And to You we truly belong
Oh, guide us Divine Light
And illumine the world
Let us celebrate Christmas
To usher in an era of peace
In which the whole creation can rejoice
Unbound, without fetters and barriers
In the bosom of true Christ Consciousness
Undifferentiated Oneness
The magic of Christmas Day is truly wonderful…
but I happen to believe…
there is also something magical and exciting about its predecessor…
Christmas Eve.
Perhaps it’s because I was born on New Year’s Eve
that I cherish and adore…
and have such an affinity and fondness for the day and night before.
Every day and night before is filled with hope and expectation.
There’s anticipation and excitement as we wait.
I remember the day before the first Christmas I can remember…
I remember the day before my first date.
I am blessed that the walls of my mind
are decorated…enhanced…and adorned…
with memories like the day before my wedding…
the days before all our children and grandchildren were born.
It comes down t basic calendarial logic
dating back, I’m sure, to days of yore.
for where would any Christmas, birthday or special day be…
without the day before.
So Merry Eve of whatever holiday or special day you celebrate today
and the rest of your life too…
because there should be a place in all our hearts
for the day before
the day our dreams came true.
Mince Pies for sharing, I’m sure you’ll agree
Evergreen festive lights are a-glowing
Repeats aplenty, our Christmas TV
Recycling bins are all overflowing
Your decorations will brighten the door
Come on let’s celebrate, we’ll both say cheers
Have one more bottle? Go on if you’re sure
Reflective and maudlin’, that’s me drinking beers
Ikea candles, will lighten the way
Silent Night, Christmas Eve, here at long last
Tomorrow the grandkids, their special day
Memories, of people and places past
Angelic voices, won’t let me feel sad
Somehow it’s magic, Feliz Navidad!
