What Summer Leaves Behind

SEPTEMBER'S POSTSCRIPT

The amber calendar dissolves,
leaving September behind to
inherit the melancholic residue
of our ephemeral summer.
The equinox arrives, a quiet
guillotine of gold,
servering the incandescent
warmth we used to hold.
September recedes, leaving a
skeletal landscape behind,
and the calcified architecture of
a love designed
in the reckless crucible of July's
blinding blaze,
now reduced to the twilight of
these shortening days.

Your absence is a reminiscence
that deeply hyperventilates,
an unforgettable phantom that
never truly abates.
I am trapped in the
retrospection of your quiet
silhouette,
navigating the imperishable
cartography of my own regret.
Every fallen leaf is a
memorandum of what we
could not save,
a fragile, amber monument
above a silent, emotional grave.

I am paralyzed by this heavy,
internal compunction,
standing alone at our love's
abandoned junction.
The autumn wind whisper of a
bittersweet commemoration,
of a fleeting, brilliant spark lost
to sudden isolation.
September leaves behind the
frost of what will never be,
locking your ghost forever in
the vault of my memory.

THE OLDEST WOMAN

The ancient path
Comes into being
Awareness of one's being
The older days
Comes into a past
Recollection of memories
The fruitfulness of a soul,

Flexibility of a mind
Leads to discoveries
The upliftment of the sea floor
Productivity of a seed
Modifies the tradition
The memorandum of a culture
A mystery of a future,

The ancient ways
Comes into resources
Fluctuation of ideas
The oldest man
Comes into a present moment
The seasons of a soul.

Leaving Memories

I will not go away completely
When it’s my time and curtain call
Continue, ever-so-discreetly
Like someone’s writing on the wall

I get to linger in emails
And links I sent, with silly jokes
All those stories, chats and tales
Addressed to friends and strange folks

Like passenger who leaves the roadster
My band plays on, yet I am gone
My face, not worthy of a poster
Shows up in photos I have spawned

In little gifts I passed around
In words I said and verse deployed
Imprints on sand and stony grounds
I’ll hop along, defying void

With deeds to be recalled at random
Bygone handshakes and warm embrace
I wrote my own memorandum
On how to quit but leave a trace

LOVERS CORNER

When love hits the heart
It makes the body warmer
Is it hot in here?
When the heart feels the love
It makes the mind wander
Is it me?
A love affair,

The sequence of events
Modified the atmosphere
What are you talking about?
The principles of values
Expressed the memorandum
What are you saying?
Read my lips,

When the words are written
It stipulates what has been written
Is it very hot in here?
When the kisses are felt
It stipulates a love language
Is it me?
A intimate love story

The Memorandum of Honesty

Some people would love
Who you are
And some would love you
On what you can do for them
It's a penny for your thoughts
Some people would love
What you can become
And some would love you
On what you can achieve for them
It's a mouthful,

Exploration requires a productive mindset
Be careful on who you surround yourself with
The signs are always there
Expectation requires an innovative mindset
Be careful on who you share yourself with
They usually show themselves
It is What it is,

Some people would love
What you are
And some would love you
On what you have achieved
It's a truthful verse
Some people would love
What you have conquered
And some would love you
On what type of person you are
It's a story that's endless.

A Silence Knows the Fairest Reason

I attended three sermons in a row
In the neighborhood church on Jackson.

Tear dropped there too, on the quran of mine, sky-blue colored
And on the cover of the hymn prayer book, it strangely rhymed.

Sermon,
On Fridays and Sundays
Are they two unknown roads of Robert Frost?
Equally worn out? Equally taken along frequency?
So that strangers are mostly certain about the Tan, Sine and Cosine?
After an incessant rain , we could tell each other a tale , stopping, “Reign!”
Parentheses are like a memorandum of understanding, priorities of your own.

Papyrus,
After 5 pm, if they all there turn color blind to moo moo all the cows!
Cows that can type, and can create superb hypes!

I pressed, paused and neglected my churned up pasteurization
As for now,
Meaningful work-life -balance will do a sieve analysis, as per annum
Soup egg drops in an ocean of lemon grass
To make a way
As the cook was befitting!

Does not matter anyway, better leave her precious to leave or granted to go!
Silence is gold at times, and dollar values are poisons!

In-Activity or Inactivity
A silence knows the fairest reason!

Words of Wisdom

A world
Is a manifestation of what has been created
Fascinating it is
A song
Is a formation of what the words mean
Interesting as it sounds
A memorandum
Is a stipulation of what has been agreed upon
Intelligent as it is
What would you say?

Life is all about challenges
Obstacles are there to be overcomed
Embrace yourself For disappointments
Respect is all about acceptance
Discrimination is not allowed
Embrace yourself For unspoken words
Love is all about commitment
Trust is there to be earned
Embrace yourself For modification
This sentence is to be continued

A human being
Is an innovation of a creation
Amazing it is
A soul
Is a remembrance of what was created
Unique as it is
A heart
Is a vessel of feelings
Imperative it is
What would you say?

Have You Seen Her Nw

A note to the wind
sent on the wings of hope's demise
she was the only person in my life
who could make me smile ;

That laughter that once rang out
through the echoes of my mind
is now but a faint whisper,
of the joy she used to bring.

Stories of yesterday,
etched on the sand dunes of tomorrow
what am I supposed to do,
                                            with all this sorrow?

Oh wind, I feel your crisp sharp slap
and sense you on ocean liners and mountain tops,

have you forgotten to be gentle with wayward souls like me?

Memorandum of our lives,
                 flying towards unattainable
                                                        horizons ...

I feel wild without her,
                        like an untamed you,
                                     oh wind
                              have you seen her?

Thanks To You-My Mother

As they reveal themselves
Count your blessings
As they throw curve balls
Know who you are
This is your time of blessings upon blessings

This is an opening
Of a written future
Know your history
And then you will know what I am talking about
This is a sequence of dreams
That were meant to be dreamt
Know your basics, that is all you need
This is a manifestation of a memorandum
That was agreed upon in the ancient times
Know your forefathers
And then you will know what I am talking about

As they acknowledge your existence
Know that God does exists
As they digest the prophecy
You have achieved it all
This is a rebirth of your soul

Cause I Am a Spear Bird

The coming out of the shadows
An embark of the journey
Puts a spin on the entire universe
An anticipation is no longer necessary
As the facts are on the table

Spread, spread your wings
Fly as high as you can, fly above
Reach as much as you can, reach the sky
Conquer as much as you can, conquer that dream
Be thankful as much as you can, thankful as you receive

The stipulation of the memorandum
An enticement of the future
Puts a writer without ideas
An amazement of sequences
As the writer has concluded

2020 Memorandum

After all is said and done
What do we leave our children
A foundation of a proper life
And a soul that understands
That all people are different
And all have a right to live in peace

What stories do we leave the world
Of peace and happiness for all
Where the facts are listened to
And people will have
All they need to live properly
In stories will be told around their fires

Who are the people who deserve to be remembered
Not the villains the thieves the assailants the murderers
But the ones who work and live clean together
They should be the T shirt faces
And the ones who are on the murals
Looking back at all of us

So what about 2020 the virus and the riots
I will remember those who stood up and were counted when needed.

Touch And See

We are a society of folded ears. We opt for our apps
through touch tone effect instead of real conversation.
We are a generation of visual selects that forgo the hearing
only to embrace tap memorandum. It works great on the optic
nerve but what does it do for the hearing workout ?
We send emoticons & floating sonic hearts but sometimes
 we need to be heard for .... R E A L ....
we need time that the computer can't steal...
. we read about our family members through the internet
. we listen to nature through the internet
it is easy to lose our equilibrium and feel like we are living
in a cyber wheel that doesn't stop.
A D D ... ANOTHER DIFINITION for it WOULD BE,
 Applicable, * Deaf *Disorder
DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU.

Premium Member Late Memorandum

Last light falls fast if you but see,
Apt surreal feel of misty sight;
Touch knows at last what yet may be,
Ends bear a will of drowsy flight.
Make up your mind to seek the truth,
Etch a fond match that tells just how;
Move thoughts you find with arc of proof,
Opt to dare sketch a true tale now;
Reach for a taste of lovely craze,
Ask to be clear of pulse and change
Note cause of haste in this mad maze,
Dance with fond cheer that mystic range;
Urge a bold dream to bring you more,
Meet happy streams from a deep core.

End the Blame

O people
and the power that you have
pomp has ebbed
all breath strangled
polls are nigh

Duty weighs on your soul
to pick a lowly servant
the obedient one
who comes not to squander
but to replenish our fruit

All blame on the settler's sojourn
yet my father brings snake for fish
All burden to mother in nursing all this while
Ballot has laced our conversations
with nothing but chagrin 50 years on

You want to smash the box
to look down on the plastic smiles inside
to scorn and spit on the enemies of democracy
you want to slash them with your tongue
and douse servant-cum-king with barren bile

Respect our memorandum
End the blame by the ballot
you will find some worth circumcision
some in need of sun to dry green horns
Bring your oil on the ripe
